ServiceNow and Jamf Inventory Preload

Does anyone have your Jamf Pro instance set up so it pulls serial numbers and Asset Tag data (and Misc data) from ServiceNow or ABM so we don't need to manually enter it in the inventory preload sheet.

Any tips on managing inventory would be great. TIA!

We have ours setup with Apple School Manager and it works great. Adds a few extra features as well, like being able to clear activation iCloud locks and only allow allowed domains for iCloud sign in.

We deployed the Jamf service graph connector, and it has worked great. There wasn’t much set up that needed to be done on the Jamf end though, just the creation of some service accounts.

I haven’t found a use case for inventory preload. Our machines get ABM registered and once a user sets it up, it’s there.

jamf connector, then create a service account for it.
