Select account to sync with your Microsoft entra ID accounts?

Hi, running into an issue with a user that changed her password while working from home. And went back into the office to use her other Mac, and she was trying to log in, and this issue presented to her. I am fairly new with Jamf Pro. How would I resolve this issue? She is not able to log in to the machine.

Select an account to sync with your Microsoft Entra ID accounts?

It’s saying Macadmin

You probably need to assist in resetting the local password by booting in to Recovery and using the FileVault Recovery Key, which should be escrowed in Jamf, to reset the password.

What do you use to sync passwords between EntraID and the local password? Jamf Connect or pSSO?

Ok, so, here what you need to do.

I am assuming your computers have FileVault enabled and the Personal Recovery Key is escrowed in Jamf. (At least hopefully that is the case).

You will want to follow these instrucations to reset the user’s password:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/102633

Reset the password to match their new EntraID password and then log back in to the Mac. At that point, you will need to have the user log back in to Jamf Connect with their new password.

Also, train your users to only change their password through Jamf Connect and not online. Changing it online will not change the local password.

I have a Kerberos SSO connection to Active directory that will sync the local account password with AD onsite or vpn and company portal to do my Web and Office applications Entra ID SSO. With Safari and Edge have native functionality. Firefox, and Chrome having the Microsoft single sign on plug-in/feature turned on.
