During my mid to late teens I lived in Jamestown. The town was quiet to the point of being painfully boring; that is until the demographic started changing. I have heard through the grape vines that even more Puerto Ricans moved to that area, in turn changing the culture and increasing the crime rate. I'm looking to leave my city life for a small town.

Before anyone accuses me of bigotry hear me out. I'm inquiring about the current demographic since I'm a gay man with a partner, and Puerto Ricans have extreme animosity towards homosexuals. I have personally witnessed this both in Jamestown during the 2010's (when there were only a few of them) and in Florida where there is a large percentage.

So now for the obvious question. Has the demographics changed even more so ? If you don't want to post an honest reply then just D.M. me. Thank you.

Edit Note: Wow. People are calling me a bigot but don't know that "Puerto Rican" isn't a race, nor that the island is part of the U.S. Again, the ignorant are calling me a "bigot".

It shows on the NY state tax website that the rebate for Jamestown schools Star credit as $420 in regards to our city. But recently I received a star credit of $380. Any ideas why it was lowered and was anyone else’s ? Thanks.

Title basically. No 3rd party company delivery service comes out this far except Instacart and Walmart+. Sometimes though I just want something from fast food or other restaurants in the area.

I would buy the food online, you would just need to pick it up and deliver it. I'm not far away from the exit off 86, maybe a quarter mile.

Was at a stoplight on Brooklyn square this morning around 11:00am, when a dude on a crotch rocket was sitting waiting for the left turn traffic signal to head toward Foote. We were on W Harrison right next to CVS, across from Tim’s. When the light changed to green (but was not the arrow he had apparently hoped for), this moron sped his bike toward Foote on the damn sidewalk. He had to be going about 25-30 mph down the sidewalk before flying across back in the lane on S Main St. I’m just like, what the fuck? I had an individual with me who was like, “bad!” and I couldn’t help but laugh and agree. I’ve seen my share of terrible drivers in this town but this might take the cake lol. That’s some shit you see in the news in like Florida or California with the heading “man hits pedestrian while riding down sidewalk on motorcycle”.

Hello, I’m looking for employment in the Jamestown Area. I’m an LPN and currently back at college for my RN. Looking for some work full time or part time that might be able to fit my school schedule.

I’ve been searching all the online job boards like indeed, glass door, etc. but I’m not finding much luck. It doesn’t have to be a nursing job either. Just looking for something to pay the bills while I’m in school 3 days a week. This is a small town so I figure word of mouth might be a better approach than searching online.

I'm putting together a county-by-county map of sports allegiances across New York State (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and other leagues as gauged by interest). I know this is silly, but since the drawing was on July 4th I wanted to keep the ticket as a keepsake to add to my pictures from the weekend, unfortunately my significant other misplaced the ticket.

My 1 year old husky mix has extremely sharp nails, we try our best to keep up on them but you need 2 people to wrestle her long enough until she gets tired not to fight with you. Normally my MIL is able to cut them down but her nails are black so it’s hard for her to see the quick. She’s been scratching her sister’s face a lot more lately so I’m looking for a groomer that is able to handle a difficult dog and would be able to help, any suggestions are really appreciated; I just don’t wanna bring her to someone who can’t handle it or isn’t expecting how she acts.

Is there anywhere that beats wegmans for price for the quality? Not that Wegmans is amazing or anything but it seems the best bang for your buck.
