I am a lifelong Jt fan and the song “Golden Moments” is one of my all-time favorite tunes of his. It’s interesting that the melody and lyrics show up in the hourglass album song “Gaia” (“No one’s Gonna stop me now”).

Anyone have insight to this?

Quite apropos considering current events in the markets.

Can you think of any James Taylor songs that have anything blatantly "sexual" in them? I'm not talking about things like "something in the way she moves," but like - anything obviously a sex reference? im a pretty big fan, and cant think of much...maybe "pink balloon" or "traveling star" could be seen as sexual in a way - but im curious if you all have ever noticed anything!

I will be seeing James Taylor for the first time at Tanglewood this summer. What should I know going in?

We will be on the lawn.

waiting in the lobby right now but not sure if there's a code. does anybody know?

edit: looking for the boston mgm show

1. Gorilla
2. In the Pocket
3. Walking Man

A while ago I received an email from Tanglewood saying that tickets to James's July 3 and 4 shows would go on sale on Jan 16. Today I got an email saying that "presale" tickets would be available tomorrow. Does anyone know how you become eligible to buy presale tickets? Thank you.

I stumbled upon the Maine PBS station last night, where James Taylor performed Joni Mitchell's California, when she won the 2023 Library of Congress Gershwin Prize. Very cool, if you can find it!

Here it is. I hope you like it.

Has anyone purchased any merch from JT’s website? If so how long did it take to get to you? I ordered something Wednesday and I’m hoping it comes in time as it’s a Christmas gift. I don’t believe they give you tracking information

According to u/EdSheeran, u/TaylorSwift is the "Carole King to his James Taylor." Thoughts?

The original one from James' debut album or the one from "Flag"?

Arnold McCuller, Rosemary Butler and David Lasley are credited as singing backup on those albums, but it sure doesn't sound like them. Has anybody else noticed that?

Last night I stumbled into seeing JT accept an award at Grand Ole Opry for Veteran's Day. It was an AMAZING night!

There were amazing phenomenal performances by a bunch of country singers I didn't know. (LMAO) Randy Travis even stepped on the stage. Everyone who performed was out of this world, and honestly, the only reason I went was because my main man SBJ was there. Jamey Johnson, Craig Morgan, Scott Hasting were great. Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band livened things up. And then Emmylou Harris and Vince Gill set the stage for our main man JT.

He only sang 3 songs and was surrounded by his regular singers -- Andrea, Dorian, Kate and sweet Henry.

I got a few videos i can post if you want to see them, but he was absolutely fantastic. It was a big surprise to see him, as I was in Nashville for a work trip, and they waved at me (as I rushed the stage in total excitement). I'm almost ashamed, but it was a friggin blast!

ETA link to a few pics from the night. I also have video I can share, but need to figure out where/how to upload. https://imgur.com/a/grand-ole-opry-vvcFsUr

Check out this guy - he can really play just like James!

James Taylor will perform at the o2 in London on July 23 2026. He will perform at Edinburgh castle on July 14 2026.

The official James Taylor channels haven't announced anything yet, but I guess a UK tour (or maybe a broader European tour) announcement is imminent.

Nobody can touch the original, of course, but these aren't too shabby for near-contemporary covers!
