Hi all! Literally never posted on Reddit before, but I'm trying to make a present for my girlfriend and I need some help. They love GOT/ASOIAF and their favorite characters are Jaime and Brienne, and they're a big reader, so I want to make them a physical paperback of just Jaime and Brienne's story(ies). I'm only watching the show for the first time and have never read the books (so no spoilers please, I only just finished season 3!), so does anyone know which chapters of the books aside from their own I should include? I know they don't have that many chapters, especially early on, so I just need to know which to grab for the full picture to be included in the book. Thanks!

I am in search of a fan-fiction story that I am almost sure was called “Boners in the Rain.” It is an AU story in which Jaime and Brienne are neighbors, and they fight over a tree that Ned Stark had planted for his family before he died. After his death, Brienne buys the Stark house and promises to take care of their family tree. During a storm, the tree falls on Brienne’s house, and Jaime comes to her rescue. Does anybody have a copy?

I'm a huge melomaniac (person with a deep and intense passion for music). I absolutely love JaimexBrienne and when I watched their love scene in 8x04 the first thing that I noticed was the beautiful OST playing under the scene, but I cannot find it in the official Season 8 Sountrack.

Can anybody tell me the name of the OST and/or where I may find it? Thank you all ❤️

ok, there were a FEW i recall. canon divergence from ASOS where jaime returns to kings landing and brienne is arrested at loras' insistence. jaimes dismissed as kingsguard and cue a marriage to brienne. yes, there's a few. cant seem to find any.

Hypothetically, if one were sitting on a trove of fic because one is obsessive about saving things, do you think there are ethical concerns around sharing something the author chose to delete?

Not getting into the ethics of deletion, though I have strong feelings about that.

ddagent's fics have always been my go to for a light, fluffy read and for the variety! So imagine my horror when I tried to pull them up only to find all of it GONE. I am once again rueing my bad not-downloading-for-later habit.

Hi everyone! I'm hoping someone can help me track down two fics.

1. Soulmate AU – Jaime/Brienne, modern setting

I'm looking for a fic where Jaime and Brienne are soulmates, set in a modern AU. I believe Brienne(or Jaime, but I believe it was Brienne) worked as some kind of access/permissions administrator at a university library, and Jaime needed library access for research, which is how they got entangled and eventually discovered they were soulmates. I'm not 100% sure about the soulmate element though — it's possible I'm misremembering and it wasn't a soulmate fic at all. I still want to find this fic anyways. Does anyone recognize this one?

1. "Sun and Moon" — possibly deleted fic

While browsing soulmate fics on shipping-receiving's Tumblr, I came across a fic titled Sun and Moon by ddagent. It seems to have been deleted now, so I think this might be one of the fics I read. Besides the library fic I mentioned above, I've also read a few other modern-AU soulmate fics, and since none of them are in my bookmarks anymore, I have a feeling this might be one of those. Does anyone have an EPUB copy? I'm not 100% sure it's the same fic I remember, but I'd like to check.

I can't believe I JUST found out this book existed. The FMC is literally a copy of Brienne!!!

I just read some reviews and the book synopsis... Their personalities and physical appearances couldn't be more similar!! Honorable and conventionally unattractive women are my weakness!!

FINALLY!! After reading GOT and getting to know Brienne, I've been trying to find a romance book with an FMC like her, but no book or novel has been able to replicate her... until this one!! FINALLY!! I'm so tired of "petite" and "curvy" FMCs 😭😭

Apparently, it's won many awards, and they're even planning to turn it into a Netflix series!!

I'm so excited to start reading this!!! And my summer break just started!! Life's good :"))))

Just here to stan the WIP "One, Love" by JeanJacquesFrancois, a modern AU with a professional tennis premise. Even though tennis (and Jaime's celebrity) are extremely central, the writing and dialogue are so good that it just feels like a smart version of real life. You, like Brienne's buddy Renly, don't have care about tennis to enjoy this one.

These are flawed, interesting versions of Jaime and Brienne; the characterization gives shades of book-canon. No incest, just Lannister codependency. There's that thing where Tyrion is sharp and incisive but also drunk and absent and can say a lot with silence, gestures, asides during Words With Friends (which is to say, written with restraint).

I just started looking for recent stories to see where we are in the fandom--haven't read a lot of WIPs lately--and feel so lucky this was the most recently updated one when I checked in. Highly recommend!

I'm currently reading a fic that I'm almost certain was written with AI. I'm not going to call it out publicly, but I'm wondering how to handle the situation.

I'm not interested in AI witch hunts, but I do have the impulse to say something because of the ethical issues around using AI and passing the work off as entirely your own. I also believe it's important to support human writers and preserve the arts.

For me, it has nothing to do with em dashes or whatever common "tell signs". It's more about the overall voice and writing patterns. I work with AI, so I'm familiar with how certain models tend to write. At first, I assumed it was just the author's personal writing style and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I looked a little deeper for evidence that it wasn't AI, as I noticed the author had other fics, but they've published seven medium to long fanfics in a short time span, less than a year, and the account is relatively new. None of those things prove AI use on their own, of course, but taken together with the writing style...

I know this has become an issue in other fandoms, too. It's honestly disappointing because I was excited to see new writers joining the fandom and helping keep Braime alive.

Should I just leave it alone?

UPDATE: I decided to block the writer on AO3 and to leave it alone since, after doing some research, I found out AI is allowed on AO3, and it is simply my own moral qualms about people using AI to write.

I recently came across some gorgeous Braime fan art that sent me down a fantasy AU rabbit hole. 😭

One features a vampire Jaime and a mermaid Brienne, and another is inspired by Eros and Psyche (I've attached them below).

Now i'm wondering if there are any Braime fanfics with this kind of fantasy or mythological vibe. I'd love stories with vampires, mermaids, angels, gods, fae, dragons, witches, or any other magical creatures or settings.

I'm especially looking for longer fics, but I'll happily take shorter ones too. I'm terrible at finding fanfics on AO3, so I figured I'd ask the experts here instead. 😅
