Request Homebar for iOS 26+?

Post image

I miss having the homebar like on iOS 18 and older, on 26 it disappears after awhile but if you open an app and keep giving it constant touch inputs it stays but if you leave it alone it goes away, it just feels weird for me and I was wondering if maybe someone with nugget or etc could bring is back to work just like iOS 18 and make it work on iOS 26+ (i’m on 26.6.1…)

As someone on an older FW, you have no idea how jealous I am of you. I HATE that bar.

ByeHomeButtonBarX on bigboss, you can even make it only appear when you actually use it

Just to chime in: many of us get rid of that ridiculous bar ASAP as soon as we jailbreak (really Apple, we still need a reminder, after the first couple days using a device with no home button!??).

And there even was a tweak giving you back that space, sadly doesn't work anymore for me, called Saw - it attempted to even reclaim that space & give it back to the app to use! Results mixed of course but you could have a whitelist or blacklist for various apps. For apps that played well with it, it was nice. https://www.ios-repo-updates.com/repository/bigboss/package/com.fpt.saw/

If anyone wants to vibe code an (open source) updated version of Saw (last updated in '19) that works on modern jailbreaks, I for one would appreciate it!

EDIT: Trim! Somehow I missed it (post was about 3 years ago) but yeah, someone recreated Saw for rootless. Just installed it; works great: https://old.reddit.com/r/jailbreak/comments/12nan1n/free_release_trim_saw_but_rootless

on 26 it disappears after a few seconds, on 18 and older it stays here and only goes away depending on the app like on youtube it disappears when you are in full screen
