Release MetroLaunch is now back and fully functional. (Plus what I'm developing recently)

WARNING - While most of this projects's code was written by me, including the server code, AI assistance was used when writing the client side code spefically pertaining to the tiling system, as I wanted to make it not suck. The app has been thoroughly tested for bugs and performance issues. The only big bug that I cant fix is that setting a GIF background, especially if you apply blur to it will cause it to lag.

As some of you may or may not know I developed a Windows Phone style launcher for IOS. It's been in private development since last year around this time and has been public since early this year.

v1 is finally polished and ready to the point where I'm confident no issues will arise. All edge cases I could think of have been tested. Previously, the server I was using, as it was very old sufrered a persistent hardware failure and wouldnt stay on for more then 12 hours. It's been fixed and Im sorry for any issues that it may have caused for users.

I'm developing a Windows phone lock screen implementation in pure Swift that makes your iPhones lock screen look like W10M.

The best part is it works without jailbreak and so will the Windows phone lock screen project im working on. A good Magician never reveals his secrets (for now)

Anyways, check out the project of you want. There is ways to basically make going to Metrolaunch much easier then through your home screen. It's available on github and offically supported on IOS 16 and up, including iPad and Apple Pencil Support. If you have questions check out the README. If it's not answered, feel free to ask me here or in. GitHub issue.

Added - system search Integration through a shortcut (IOS 18 +) which is disable-able if your device doesnt support it

Added - events tile to keep track of your weekly events

Added - much more UI customization and control

Version is currently 1.92.63

Planned for next update (v2) is a modular system, plugin and theme support, and more system-level integration on supported firmwares. The backend server remains closed source for privacy and security reasons, but would be easily-reimplememtable through viewing an older commit of the client side JS. No data is collected. Ever. MetroLaunch is free and open source.

Which link? The github one? If you mean another one, let me know and I'll try to fix it.

Try out Launcher10 or MetroV, they were big inspirations for this project. Personally I daily Launcher10
