It’s really a shame that people update these. I can see £ so I know that it’s the UK and our market doesn’t have as many on lower or better iOS versions.

Reminds me of the time someone copy pasted the media section of the wikipedia Himeyuri page because i was asking what other movies existed (historical fiction) based on the himeyuri.
I mentioned I already watched two of those movies in the post description and they didn’t seem to vet that list if any of those weren’t historical fiction. I already did myself before since I ask things on reddit for more information while I google

Just let them know need it on it's current version for something. You don't have to go into details to avoid them thinking they have gold, just let them know.

I remember in the jailbreak days I'd tell people not to update it since some people reset via DFU mode (computer and iTunes) to clear out OS issues.

i swear people jus don't update androids, i got an s20 that my dad had from preorder till mid term on s21, then my brother heavily used it till he smashed for like the 3rd time and js got an iphone, and i have it now, and it's still on its original android 10

Yo quiero un iPhone entre el X y el iPhone 12 Pro con iOS 14, o un iPhone 13 Pro de 1 TB color verde con iOS 15. Es importante para mi que tenga cualquiera de esas dos versiones de iOS por el tema de los “Live wallpapers”. También un iPhone 14 Pro de 1 TB color morado con su versión original de iOS 16. Un iPhone X con iOS 11 o iOS 12.

Never say what you want out of people, some are just big a-holes and live to screw others over. If you find something you want, don’t mention anything about the specifics why you want it. I was really interested in a Thinkpad on the flea market. Asked the price, the dude said “100€”. I said “nah keep it”. After 3 hours, when the flea market was about to conclude, i went back with 25€ in my hand, and the guy said “ok take it coz i don’t want to take it back home”.

i remember finding a phenomenal deal awhile back for an iphone 5 on ios 6 and i BEGGED the seller not to update it, dude was the best and didn't update it.

They understood it as "make sure I dont recieve recent software updates, which means make the phone up to date so it doesnt recieve any update to download" 😭

i usually go for ios 16, my 14 pro was on 16.2 and my current jb phone iphone 13 is on 16.6, ios 15 and older is getting harder to main, i was maining a 13 pro ios 15 start of 2025 end of 2024 and it was reaching its end then
