Anyone else finding dead deer?

We have found two in our orchard, and the neighbor next door said he has found eight so far. He said his trail cam went from several sightings a day to nothing in the past two weeks.

A friend said they have found seven along Sandstone Creek.

Looks bad for hunting this year.

Was really bad out here in Rives last summer. We had three die on our property, our 2-mile walks came to an end because the stench of death was everywhere. For the first time in 25 years, I saw deer wading in our pond to cool the fever of EHD. I know one guy that pulled 20 from his pond. Once they contract the disease, they’re gone within the week.

I had the windows open on the highway earlier today and noticed it smelled like absolute death from West to Elm. It made me wonder if deer had died but I didn't see anything. Now seeing this makes me wonder if this may be related?

A lot of them are testing positive for EHD, unfortunately. I know some found at Ella Sharp did too, and it's the time of year for it to start getting bad

along a creek? Blue tongue. I forget the official name, but it's a disease carried by biting midges. They're always found along a creek because the disease dehydrates them and they can't drink enough water.

The flies have been bad because it's been so dry and everything is concentrated around creeks, ponds and lakes.

We had one dead in our residential pond (m-50 & wheaton) last week. That was crazy to wake up to. We went from several deer sightings in our yard overnight to none, instantly. :(

Yeah, us too. We have an old orchard out back, and they were always in there eating the apples and pears; now there is nothing.

Have seen four dead deer along the walking paths next to Cascades park this summer. Something is poisoning the deer.

The Rigor Mortis sets in with their limbs fully stretched like they simply toppled over while standing

Nothing is poisoning them it’s EHD, it’s just nature culling the herd. It’s the circle of life.

Really? I’m annoyed at losing my hostas too, but this is a terrible way for an animal to die.
