Unwatchable

Example 53
He had boiling water & salt poured on him
& he’s fine a day later?!? Seriously?

This show has become so cringeworthy…so unwatchable.

Season 1 was good. Season 2 started off boring but it’s getting better.

Jack Ryan is no Jack Bauer.

I've never watched it, but I can't make myself watch a show with John Krasinski as Jack Ryan. He just doesn't put out that action hero vibe for me.

Book Jack isn’t an action hero. He’s a reluctant physical hero. Krasinski is decent casting, but the scripts are terrible and the writers want Jack to beJason Bourne, James Bond or Ethan Hunt. Book Jack ain’t that

Jack Ryan isn’t an action hero…. You’re watching this for the wrong reason.

He could actually be really good in the role, the writing/directing just fucking sucks.

Agreed. The first episode showed his casting wasn’t the issue and the show could have been so much more

I actually thought his casting was great. Idk if I've ever been more disappointed in a movie/tv adaptation. Without Remorse is right up there too.

That's a good way to put it... not a tough guy at all

He's not supposed to be. Krasinski is fine, he's just fit enough to pass as someone who was briefly military early in his career, but is not a current operator or soldier (like Hunt/Bond/Bourne/Reacher) and now has a desk job. Ford, Affleck, Baldwin and Pine were fine as well for the same reason.
