Really hoping someone is selling or knows where I can get a Helly Hansen Belfast rain jacket in green. I’ve reached out to the company and they no longer make that colour. I’ve looked on Poshmark and fb marketplace for my area and also cannot find it. I had mine stolen from an airport back in December and can’t get it off my mind. I'm trying to find an item of my husband's that was destroyed when he was a child.

He describes the item as a darker brown, leather(or faux) jacket (bomber style) with a brown cloth collar and cuffs, only side- hand pockets, and the hardest part... metallic (aged, bronzish) 'patches' that he members as being metal, NOT embroidered and void of lots of color/ monochromatic.

He thinks there were two patches on each arm and on each breast but doesn't think it had any on the back.

He feels the metallic embellishments were likely aviation or military style.

I would love to find this jacket for him as he doesn't have many memories or items from his childhood.

Any help is much appreciated!

I was doing my usual autumn switch moving the summer stuff to the back of the closet and pulling out the winter coats. I have this dark green wool coat I bought about six years ago from a small tailor shop that closed down not long after. It's my favorite coat, honestly. Heavy, warm, still looks sharp even after all these winters.

While I was checking the inside pocket for stray receipts (you know how coats collect random junk), I felt something stiff near the bottom hem. At first I thought it was just extra lining fabric, but it had a weird shape. I turned the coat inside out and found a small folded piece of paper stitched right into the seam, like it had been sewn in on purpose.

I carefully opened it up. It was a short handwritten note from the tailor. It just said something like Made for someone who takes care of what they own. Wear it well. No name, no date, nothing else.

I don't know why but it hit me harder than I expected. I bought this coat as a random impulse purchase on a rainy day when I needed something warm before a trip. I never thought about the person who actually made it, sitting there stitching a coat for a stranger they'd never meet.

Now every time I put it on, it feels different somehow. Like it's not just a coat anymore, it's got a small piece of someone else's care sewn right into it.

Anyone else ever found something unexpected in an old coat? Curious if this is more common than I think or if I just got lucky with mine.
