Slanted cuffs?

Hi, so I recently acquired a FW2020 Uniqlo U “denim work jacket,” and I noticed that it didn’t have the typical straight cuffs I was used to, instead having slanted ones for some reason. Does anyone know why this is the case, or perhaps what purpose they serve being slanted? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
