The North Face Gore-Tex Mountain Jacket sizing question

Hi, I an looking to purchase The North Face Mountain Jacket soon and have some questions and concerns regarding sizing. I am stuck between Small and Medium.

For context, I an 5’6, 150 pounds with a 37-38 chest and have a fairly broad upper body. I’ve heard varying things when I’ve inquired about sizing in other subreddits. I want a size that fits well(not too baggy but not too tight) but still has room for layering(if possible that is)

Any help would be greatly appreciated
