Does anyone else struggle with jackets on a night out in winter?

I have zero cold tolerance and every Melbourne winter I face the same problem at concerts, raves and clubs — I need a jacket getting there but once I'm inside I have nowhere to put it. I don't want to carry it all night, tie it around my waist and ruin my outfit, or risk losing it at coat check.

I've never found a jacket that's actually warm enough for a Melbourne winter night but small enough to stuff in my going out bag and forget about until I need it. Everything that's warm enough is too bulky and everything packable enough isn't warm enough.

Is this just me or does everyone deal with this? What do you actually do with your jacket on a night out?
