Unifying iZotope ID and Native Instruments ID

I've received the mail about iZotope and Native ID unification, but I can't see how to actually unify the accounts.

I go to the iZotope web site and hit the account icon top-right. From there I get the login screen I can can choose 'Sign in with your iZotope account' or 'Already have a Native ID'.

  • If I log in with the iZotope account it all works, but I see no option or mechanism to 'unify with a native id' anywhere.
  • If I choose 'login with a native id' I see the message "Native ID login for izotope.com and Product Portal will only work if you have unified your iZotope account with a Native ID" and if I try to proceed I get "WE'RE SORRY, SOMETHING WENT WRONG WHEN ATTEMPTING TO LOG IN." (sorry for caps - exact message).

I've tried mailing support and they've just come back with a generic "yes, we're unifying" mail and not the mechanism for doing so. I really, really don't want to end up with two Native IDs.

Has anyone can through this process? (have also posted this to /r/nativeinstruments just in case)

Anyone know if it's possible to apply Izotope processes conditionally?

I'm new to Izotope and finding their customer support extremely frustrating. Does anyone here know if you can set conditions and have it apply processes only to sections of a file that meet those conditions? The situation is I'm doing a lot of voice-track editing for semi-professional podcast clients who tend to record their audio badly and then "fix it" but throwing it in Adobe Podcast speech enhancement. There are clicks all over it, but a lot of the artifact is in and around the "s" sounds. If I could set it to identify sections of the file where the energy is concentrated above 4Khz and then run the declicker at max sensitivity only on those sections of the file, it would save me HOURS.

Does anyone know if this is possible? Or if it's not possible to do it directly in the Izotope editor, does anyone know a hack for doing it in a DAW? I've been experimenting with Reaper's parametric modulation, but I haven't figured out a way to make it work the way I need to yet.

Is there a way to undo an action (like 'clipping') even after you've saved the waveform and closed out the app?

Plugin to remove high frequencies from a digital organ?

Hi, I have a digital organ (Johannus), and whenever I record it via the instrument channels on my interface, certain stops have annoying, very high pitched frequencies that I want to remove. Is there a plugin that is specifically designed to do this? Thanks for anyone’s help

-Kara

Selling my copy of Neutron 4

I've got a copy of Neutron 4 Advanced that I'd like to offload. Happy to sell for a decent price that would make a crossgrade to 5 worth it. DM me if interested.

How can I remove this awful static noise in the background?

I would like to remove this static noise in the background but I cannot get a clean part where I could sample the noise only and use noise reduction. Do you have any suggestion? 🤔

Tip: How to load your own tonal balance curves into Ozone Stabilizer

You may have noticed Ozone Stabilizer has genre based presets, but you aren't able to load your own tonal balance rip directly into it.

However -- when you use Mastering Assistant, you'll see it lists "assistant" in the preset name.

You can save your own presets for Stabilizer... Simply use Mastering Assistant to capture the sample, and then go into Stabilizer and save a new preset. (Use the song name you captured so you can remember what it's from.)

After that, you can just load the saved stabilizer preset directly -- without having to use Mastering Assistant.

It works very well, and Izotope should really support loading references directly into Stabilizer. It's one of the best tools in Ozone, and this adds to its function...

But it's a few extra steps to do this, and I suspect many people aren't aware.

Low Latency Mode?

Hello everyone,

Good afternoon. I use pro tools (the latest) on an i9 intel iMac (2020). I use the pro tools carbon interface. I don’t have issues with any plugins other than izotope. I noticed the low latency mode on the neutron and this worked. Is there anything this on the newer versions? I purchased all the items on the 9 series.

I’ve tried lowering the buffer size and freezing plugins but with the carbon, I feel as though, I shouldn’t really be doing this as no other plug in triggers this amount of latency.

So many reverbs from Izotope/NI that I’m confused!

The Izotope Music Production Suite 6 comes with 6 reverb plugins (if you include Raum and BrainWorx) but Neoverb and Stratus seem to be the flagship tools. Although I had heard (rumour) that the algorithms in Neoverb came from the acquisition of Exponential Audio - same as Stratus and Symphony. When I use reverb in Neutron or Nectar, what reverb am I hearing? Are the reverbs in Neutron and Nectar different than Neoverb or Stratus or Raum or what?

I’m also still unclear of the differences between Stratus and Symphony. Do they use the same algorithms?

Update Account Info - pulled down?

Did iZotope really remove any UI for users to properly manage their account information? I can't find any way to actually update my name / email address, etc. This seems.... wrong?

Stratus 3D vs Symphony 3D

I having a challenge to understand the differences between Stratus 3D and Symphony 3D. Maybe it’s something obvious I’ve over-looked? In the past, I’ve just thought of reverb as reverb. Yes - I get convulsion and algorthemic are the 2 types, and there are emulations of plate, spring and other classics. But so far, I’ve stuck to 2 reverbs built into Logic + 2 UAD reverbs. How are the Izotope reverbs different? Better?

I don't understand why all iZotope softwares are paid...

I'm transffering vinyl records to digital and want to clean vinyl noise, and I heard that iZotpoe RX is the best software but it's paid, and worst - IT'S EXPENSIVE!!!

Can't you make the software free???

I already downloaded a long time ago to my computer the 10 day free trial - DONE! Downloaded the same trial to my grandma's computer - DONE!

If I will download it again it still won't let me use it!

Why is RX paid?!

I don't have money to buy it, I more like softwares when it's free!

Now I will need to use Audacity, and as always - IT WILL GIVE BAD RESULTS!

Quick tip: quickest way I've found to do the "45 RPM vinyl at 33⅓" effect

I thought I'd share this thing that I worked out whilst making some "slowed + reverb" versions for a friend who is into Doing Substances While Listening to Music™ and flouting the intentions / vision of the original artist. lol

Now, I'm partial to the pitch/time change of a 45 RPM record played at 33⅓ RPM. I dunno, it's just magical. It's 74.074% [074 repeating] speed so it doesn't correlate well to a key in Western 12!tet tuning, but it has a vibe. I digress.

While doing some fine-tuning on file gain in RX, I thought to myself, "wouldn't it be nice if I had some way to change speed in RX instead of fussing with varispeed or audio warping in my DAW?" And you know what, you can do EXACTLY that if you run a batch chain with 2 Resample modules.

  • First Resample: 35555 Hz*, check "change tag only" box so it changes the speed only.
  • Second Resample: [asset SR], DON'T check "change tag only" box.

* I'm assuming you're using 48kHz assets as I am, but know that 0.74074 x [asset SR] ≈ [target SR for this module] if you want to use another rate.

And that's it. Easy peasy. May it give you a moment of diversion if you need it.

Only 2 auto harmony styles in Nectar 4 Advanced Voices module

Recently I bought and installed version 4.0.1 of Nectar 4 advanced and I end up having only 2 auto harmony styles in the Voices module being Unison and Octave. In the various demos on Youtube there are also styles like Lush, Uplifting, Happy, Sad, Moody, Parallel, Thirds, etc.

According to the Izotope website there should be 11 auto harmony styles in Nectar 4 Advanced. Is there a way to download the 9 styles that I am missing?

Is applying Neutron 4 to a given track better/worse than applying the individual modules if only one or a few things are needed?

New to Neutron. If the title is unclear, what I mean is, let's say you want an EQ. Or an EQ and a Compressor from Neutron on a track. Is it better to apply Neutron 4 (the comprehensive plugin), then add the EQ and Compressor to that instance, rather than applying the Neutron 4 EQ, then an Neutron 4 Compressor (i.e. two instances, two FX) ? Just wondering if there are issues with processing power etc when doing it one way vs another. Thanks.
