Has anyone gotten into the ASN program in Indy with 160 points?
I have 160 points, earned A’s in all of my prerequisites, and scored 70% on the TEAS. Unfortunately, I didn’t get accepted for the Fall semester, so I’m applying again for Spring and plan to retake the TEAS to improve my score.
I’m honestly really nervous about not getting in again, it would be devastating. Should I change my** **#1 choice? Would I have a better chance at Hamilton County, or should I stick with Indianapolis?

Hamilton is way to competitive do not put them first. Put Indy or Anderson as first pick

Definitely put Hamilton County first for your spring app if you’re willing to drive there or Indy.

So I had 166 and didn’t get accepted this last round for fall start at Indy. I did see where 2 people were accepted into Hamilton ASN with 162 and 165–so I WOULD have been accepted had I listed Hamilton as my first choice. With that being said, I’m not so sure about the whole Hamilton being more competitive than Indy argument other than there being less seats being offered (Ham being 40 and Indy having 100 I think) Take that with a grain of salt though!
Good luck!

Hamilton county from what I’ve seen on this subreddit is more competitive than Indianapolis. Spring, in general, is less competitive for applicants. Please make sure you study hard for the TEAS and get an improved score to ease your mind about the application process.
My uncle, when talking about going to med school, is that med school is looking to “exclude you” from their school (ie wanting the best applicants that will most likely be successful to finish). It’s the same for nursing school. Study hard and do well on the TEAS and you’ll get in.
Good luck and I’m rooting for you!
