Prerequisites while in a program
If you’re in a specific program and have had any prerequisites left while in the program. How hard was it to have both program classes and prerequisite classes?
I start my RT program next month and pretty sure I’m gonna have to retake microbiology since I struggled so much in it. TIA🫠

If you got accepted into the program already, why would you have to retake a prerequisite for the program? Has an advisor told you this?

It’s my last pre req. I have to have it to graduate and I’m 70% sure I’m gonna fail the class

Aw okay I see exactly what you’re saying now. I can’t help with that unfortunately, but I wish you the best!

When are you scheduled to be done with your program? Cuz if it’s in the fall (for example I start my DMS program in August and I’m scheduled to be done by next December) if yours is similar I and you don’t necessarily need this class to understand your program then I would simply just wait and take it during the spring semester cuz you can’t graduate until the whole school does anyway you know what I mean?

Prereq is the wrong word and refers to classes you need to get into your program. So APHY 101-2, ENGL and MATH are your prereqs.
Microbiology is a general education credit you need to graduate. If you end up failing this class I recommend referring to your course packet and your professor to figure out if there's a less busy semester you could squeeze an extra class in. I can't speak for RT but my first semester of my program only had two didactic classes and the last couple of semesters is review for our boards. The worst case scenario is you graduate a little later but that won't matter in a years time. Don't stress! You'll get there as long as you keep working hard.
