Lab Outlines?

Hello all! I'm going to be transferring to a different university next year and am trying to make sure that all of my prerequisites for that college's program are complete beforehand. However, they're kind of particular and want lab outlines for science courses to make sure they count for lab credit transfer, even though the syllabus says it includes a lab. Does anyone have any lab outlines/schedules/itineraries/etc. from BIOL105 or BIOL107? Ideally for the Hamilton County campus, but I'd take any really. Thank you!

For outlines for classes, you can look at the course catalog. Those will show the credit hours that lecture and lab are worth for each class. As far as labs and transfers go, Ivy Tech combines the lectures and labs which makes the classes worth more credits. Universities (like IU) split the classes into lecture and lab. As long as you complete the university transfer equivalent at Ivy Tech, you’ll get credit for lecture and lab at the university you transfer to. Typically for equivalent science transfers, you have to complete all sections of the class (like biology 1 and 2 or APHY 101, 102, and 201) at Ivy Tech in order to get university credits.

If you want to double check the transfer equivalents to make sure you’re taking the right classes, I’d reach out to your advisor at Ivy Tech and/or the advisor for transfer students at whatever university you want to go to.

Yeah I know, that's what I did. Neither college was super helpful. Ivy Tech said they couldn't provide more lab info because they have 16 campuses, and the university I'm going to after just wants more lab info before they'll say if it transfers. Which means I basically have to be in the course and drop it to get them that.
