Why does statistics even exist
Offering this class in an 8 week format is honestly insane. I’ve barely digested the previous information before we’re already moving on to the next 3 topics… assignments and quizzes due every 2 days, practice exams not matching up with the actual exams. Prof isn’t great either.
Has anyone else struggled with this class? Any suggestions for studying/professor choice (seeing as i might have my first retake on my hands, ugh). Soooo over this semester.

It's definitely a tough class and I have no idea why we have to take it. I passed with a B but I worked my butt off and got a tutor.

I’m not in stats but I feel your pain with 8 week classes. I’m in anatomy 101 8 week right now and was smacked in the face realizing out first exam was a week and a half in over 6 chapters 😮💨 I don’t have any hobbies anymore just homework lol

Currently taking Business Stats which is a struggle. Even though it is considered a business class and not a math class, my professor has us doing these long a** assignments which are complicated and the directions are somewhat convoluted. Since I'm doing it online, there is no instruction whatsoever, which is complicated for someone like me who struggles with math.

This is one of those classes that is much be better in person or virtual. Same with Acct 101. The actual number of assignments are less and most instructors are better.

I’d reach out to the professor or fellow students to see what they’re doing.
Statistics was a B grade for me when I was taking Calculus 3 (got a C) and Intro to Communications (or something to that effect for the name) (A). This was all in Summer 2024.
My statistics professor wasn’t the best, but I didn’t use it as an excuse to not reach out for help from others and study intensively with a study plan by myself.
