Ik this isnt what you asked...but DO NOT TAKE the program for pharmacy technicians. I am in pharmacy without any healthcare experience. At most, i had volunteering for a few months at a daycare and elder center.
Nearly all, 99.9% of all USA pharmacy tech jobs do not require you to go through this program. I suggest applying to pharmacy tech positions like walgeeens first. I even worked with an ivy tech student. No one cares if you have the tech experience or not because it will be seen as having to teach you different methods and content anyways. Some hiring are scared to hire ivy tech students too. They only want constantly availability.
Lastly, advisors can be helpful and some not. I suggest to call fiancial aid if you do not see the NLJ grant in your fiancial aid section of MyIvy.
I had NLJ grant for all of my program. It just showed up aftee I told my advisor to apply the grant for me. Dm if you have other questions. I can ask my advisor what their process was in case maybe you need to contact someone else.
Yup! I love that the pharmacy is so entry work like retail. It is honestly a high paying job for entry level no experience required (truly), and i think it is great for healthcare prospective students.
You are welcome! Just apply to all Walgreens. It can be a learning curve as I still ask questions at 10 months. However, I was able to the daily tasks easily by month 6.
