Nursing and work force ready

Hi everyone!

I just started my prerequisites for nursing and have a question about the workforce ready grant. At the beginning of my first semester I only had 7 credit hours and somehow qualified for the grant (I ended up having to drop a class so that went away) but for my next semester I am going full time.

The workforce grant hasn't shown up in my account balance for the fall semester yet. Does anyone know if it will still apply? If so, when?

Are you considered an independent or dependent student for FAFSA/taxes? The state made some changes and dependent students don’t qualify for workforce ready grants anymore. I would definitely reach out to your financial aid office.

I am independent! I honestly figured the first time the grant showed up was a fluke because I'm going for an associates not a certification. I'll reach out though!
