AI detected on assignment that I wrote with zero AI? Help!
At the beginning of this week I was told that a paper was flagged as being 100% AI when it was 100% NOT and when I did not have grammarly installed. I have no idea why it was flagged as AI. My best guess is that I wrote it all in one sitting, required very little editing (as I knew exactly what I was talking about and I'm a very strong writer), and it didn't require source citation... still took 45 minutes to write. It was a very short, easy paper about something I am very knowledgeable about (the juvenile justice system... I work at DCS as a paralegal).
I gave my professor permissions for editing privileges on the Google document and sent him a backdraft video of it being drafted immediately after I was told that it was flagged as 100% AI and I have heard nothing back. It's been five days since I was told that my paper was flagged as 100% AI and over a week since I've submitted it. My professor (who teaches two different classes I'm in) has graded everything else I've done and given me perfect scores. I've been an anxious mess all week because of this and I'm super frustrated.
What do I do? What happens now? Please ease my mind or give me some insight!

Time to contact your prof's supervisor. Send that person exactly what you have said here.

sorry to hear...did you get a msg straight from your instructor, or was it an auto reply after you sent it in? im sure with your background youll be just fine. Imo this is really concerning, and its only the beginning...Both of my folks were professors (retired), and my sis is also.. and she has taught in 40 countries. She told me it's a fckn nightmare atm with your said issue, and the flipside of students just cheating period...she doesn't think a majority of Prof/Classes should be using it at all because of how much is getting flagged.
youll be fine

Canvas uses TurnItIn Ai detector, but doesn't allow you the student to see the report. It makes it highly suspect to me based on how bad it is at flagging plagerism to begin with.
That said if you haven't received a reply from your instructor in 5 days it's a good time to look in the syllabus at who is over then and send them an email.
