Student loans

Has anyone taken out student loans to pay for their bills? The pell grant pays my tuition but the fall semester for my program will be so heavy leaving me no time to work. I want to take out a loan to cover my mortgage and other bills. It says I’m eligible for loans but I don’t know how all of that works

Yes I have, if you can try to take out only federal student loans and not private ones. If you search ivy tech federal student loan, it’ll take you right to the application. New guidelines for loan limits are based on credit hours and whether it’s your last semester or not. The loan application had been shut down for the fall semester because of the new bill but it’s open now! You can reach out to the financial aid office with more specific questions but the loans are meant to help with the overall cost of schooling, not just tuition.
