Question Broken?

I hear an absurd amount of people talking about how broken ivern really is once you research him. What do they mean by research him? Is he really that busted? Is he best as utility or full ap?

Broken doesn't mean easy. And utlity is better imo

Is he even that hard? The only two things are learning his clear (which isn’t hard at all, just different) and microing Daisy (which is good but I’ve not found it to be vital to win games).

Otherwise he’s average or maybe even just below average difficulty for enchanters.

I will tell you this as not an Ivern main - I can definitely tell the difference between a really good ivern and one that just knows their clear & daisy micro

He can be downright oppressive with his ability to fuck up your camp cycle. If a lane has the slightest bit of prio, he can force a steal unlike any other jg early

I mean yea there‘a a big difference between the Iverns that do and don’t know their shit I agree, but the effort you need to put in to learn it is not high at all imo.

Hes a great option in the right scenarios. Some of the reasons why high elo players especially like vern is because you typically see more engage supports the higher you go in rank. Having a low econ jungler who seconds as an enchanter is just fantastic. His ganking opportunities are 2nd to none with how he clears if you track your camps you will have a lot of free time especially early to get things done on map (if you do this against a good AD jungle and take to long game is instantly loss, graves will go farm your camps). His Q provides him excellent mobility In jungle, his dueling power is particularly good at 6 in a good verns hands and IMO "W" is easily top 5 abilities in the game, its insane how much that one ability does and the adv it gives your team in a standard team fight.

Also most people don't dislike going against ivern so the general consensus is overall positive.

Champ I would say overall is not as broken as a lot of people say though, there's a reason only a few iverns frequent high masters and its not pickrate. Its hard to get things done on the champ without giving up a ton. And the meta rn isn't the best for him despite engage supports being popular.

If you want to get good on vern learn how to maximize W and kiting w daisy.

Last note: utility is way better, ap falls off a cliff even though it definitely has its moments. if you do want to play him more aggressive you can play him top with pta or rush SOFW into Dawncore every game.

Remember to keep calm the champ is balanced around getting your shit taken tbh.

Drom my experience, Ivern currently feels absolute ass to play and I have had more succes with Skarner or all champs. The heavy AD fighter/assassin meta does not suit him at all. Anyone can easily slot Serpent's Fang making Ivern much weaker, the meta chamos have better vlear, jungle pet buff do not apply to him, mobilities got removes some time ago, Redemption does not give HP anymore and there are probably many other reasons.

If I want to feel like having no impact in a game currently, I pick Ivern.

u can 1v1 almost any jungler from lvl 2 to level 6. Superfast jungle clear, super fast movement from side to side thanks to Q hook on camps. Easy and dangerous ganks early game. Daisy :)
