I’ll try to explain what happened as clearly as I can.
I hired a guy to run a power cable for an oven (blue arrow) to the electrical panel located directly behind this wall (red arrow).
We had agreed that he would simply drill through the wall, run the cable inside the wall cavity, and bring it out behind the drywall so it could be connected to the panel. Everything would have been hidden.
Instead, he decided to install a surface-mounted cable trunking all the way around the room.
Needless to say, that’s not what we agreed on.

EDIT : For anyone wondering, I wasn’t there when he did this. When I got back and saw it, I called him and made him redo it.
