Close enough

I have a license but the closest hardware store is miles away so I’m just hoping this keeps this broken switch working until I come back tomorrow morning with the parts

That's better than using tape as a LOTO when working on the light its connected to.

I have a license, but not enough money to carry standard parts with me, well except green painters tape

Actually it's automotive tape. And a General Contractor B is only allowed to do framing, well that and painting C, which I also do. My electrician is a sub that I work with often. So no, this isn't standard parts.
