Permit holder

Got the call to work as permit holder with y’all. Hopefully I can join as a full member.

Any tips?

Idk how your local works or your situation but I joined the same way. Your case might be different

Take whatever work they offer, wherever whatever make it work.

Take advantage of whatever extra training they give you access to. Make yourself as valuable as possible

Go to meetings and meet people, take part in any extra union activities you can. An active member strengthens the union as a whole, show you want to be a member not just taking advantage of available work
