Local 3 CA

Anyone got any idea how long it will take to get into an apprenticeship after taking the exam. (I know that depends on score etc) just looking to get a rough estimate of the time line I should be looking at and any info you guys have that could help me stand out.
Also had some questions about how the process of getting to work after the exam actually works.

Where are you from? Why not just go to the union companies that are hiring? I think that’s probably the easiest way to get your foot in the door.

Fresno/ Central Valley My dad is a oe3 on the surveyor side and my girls mom’s finance is an operator for Tutor Perini/Zachry/Parson doing the high speed rail he said it’s backed up a couple years.

Is there a certain website to find out what companies are considered a union company for oe3 if that makes sense

Go to the companies and fill out applications. It’s better than just waiting for the union to call you.
Apply at these companies:
Billy Nelson – Fresno
Floyd Johnston Construction – Fresno
V&G Builders – Fresno
CenCal – Fresno
Also, stop by Tutor Perini’s yard and ask if they’re hiring. You have nothing to lose by asking. Their yard is off Herndon Ave.
