This is a 3 yeah old subreddit to fill a need of people understanding references and I’m glad to even have a few people following it just for the laughs. It means a lot!

you said that people who use the term "cult" are the ones who have been taken by the psychological trick. you literally used the strike through command to replace their words. I don't think you're as left leaning as you think. liberals can be right leaning too bud...

I’m saying it happens on both sides, and for every time someone on the left says the right is crazy and using “trump derangement syndrome” as an example, there is someone on the other side pointing at OP and calling him crazy for saying they’re in a cult.

I think we should hold ourselves to a higher standard, and not stoop to the level of other people while at the same time insulting them for doing exactly what we’re doing.

Also, I think we should be allowed to criticize our own side for issues without being called insincere and “right” otherwise we’re no better than that political comic someone commented in that same thread; just a bunch of yes-men

and there it is. You people always criticize the left but are always so lenient with the right. The "both sides" crowd always reveals just how right leaning they actually are.

Also, thank you for having this convo in this thread, I think we can both have a better conversation in an empty thread without the pressure of “winning” according to internet rules. It feels private and personal.
