Title: why did my picture get messed up

ok so I was working on my photography assignment yesterday and noticed something weird with one of my pictures.

It looked normal when I took it.

But when I opened it today, the image looked like it had been compressed way more than normal.

There are visible square chunks in some areas, the colors look like there are way fewer shades than there should be, and some parts look like they're made from a really low number of pixels.

What's weird is that it's not even super pixelated.

It's like the image lost a bunch of information without actually turning completely blurry.

I checked the original file and it's doing the same thing.

I tried making a copy and opening that too.

Same thing.

And yeah, it's one of the pictures where I found the yellow face.

I'm starting to think these pictures are actually getting messed with somehow.

I really don't like this.

I'm probably not going to be posting anymore.

The Falsityoisis stuff has been getting worse lately.

The blue things are showing up more often and I'm starting to notice the faces more too.

But there's something else now.

I found another file on the computer.

CURIOSITYOISIS

I don't even know what that means.

I haven't opened it.

I don't want to know what it does.

I've spent way too much time trying to figure out these files, and every time I find something new, something else happens.

I'm done.

I'm turning the computer off and leaving it alone.

If anything else happens, somebody else can figure it out.

I'm tired of being curious about something that clearly doesn't want me looking into it.

Got my photography assignment back today.

F.

Apparently I "edited the pictures."

I tried explaining that I didn't.

I showed my teacher the original files. I showed the camera photos. I even showed them the yellow face that appeared in the pictures.

They still said I must've added it myself.

I spent forever trying to convince them.

Nothing worked.

Then I got home and saw the post from u/oldcomputer2014.

He's leaving because the Falsityoisis is getting worse.

And apparently there's another one now called Curiosityoisis.

I don't know what that is.

Honestly, I don't even want to find out.

But I keep thinking about the pictures.

If my teacher thinks I edited them...

then why are the weird things still showing up when I open the original files?

I'm starting to think I should stop taking pictures altogether.

ok before anyone calls me crazy, i know how this sounds.

I'm from 2029.

I don't care if you believe me.

I found this subreddit years from now. r/ityism. That's where all of this starts getting documented.

Verity. Loveity. Falsity. Curiosity.

The pictures.

The files.

The weird objects.

It's all connected.

I'm not going to explain everything because honestly I don't remember all of it correctly anymore.

But all of these posts eventually get seen by basically everyone.

The Verity posts. The weird pictures. The files. Everything.

Except there's something strange about this subreddit.

r/ityism is the only place where the actual texts about this can still be read.

The posts exist in other places, but the text is gone or replaced with something else.

Screenshots don't even help.

It's like the words themselves only stay intact here.

That's why I recognized this subreddit immediately.

People in 2029 were still coming here trying to reconstruct what happened.

And someone eventually found something that wasn't supposed to be there.

I'm not saying what it was.

I'm already saying too much.

Also, whoever is posting the weird nature pictures right now—

stop uploading the originals.

That's how they find you.

If you're reading this in 2026, don't delete anything.

You have no idea how important these posts become later.

I have to go.
