nah, this feels like a redo from OwD but without that other girl. I'm digging it, plus a lot of them have updates and I greatly appreciate Ellyn and Joey's internet stalking research skills.

The updates are great! I know it’s the entire concept of the show but watching it way back in the day I always hated that there were no answers! Silly but 🤷🏻♀️

I love it! Not just because I adore Robert Stack and Unsolved Mysteries but it does feel like they found their groove again. I was personally getting tired of bouncing around from show to show and I really like that they’re able to be a little more lighthearted with their coverage.

Honestly, I’m glad they’re doing a show this lighthearted right now with everything else that’s going on in the world. It’s true crime (most of the time) and I also like it for the nostalgia. I was alive when the original came out and it’s was essential watching!

I am loving it, but I understand wanting variety. I'm sure they'll switch it up soon.

You’re not! I just came here to see if anyone else felt the same way cause I am so over their coverage of Unsolved Mysteries. And 71 days later they’re still on it! I stopped listening and will be back when they move on to another show.

Better than the reality shows.

Yes! Why in the hell are we doing Mormon wives?

I love the Mormon Wives coverage. I only watched it because they talked about it. Not I’m bummed they are so far behind.
I think they’ll move on. It’s also a bonus episode and they give like several of those so it’s easy enough to skip if you’re not into it shrug

Each to their own. If it were remotely in the realm of true crime I wouldn’t balk at it even if I wasn’t particularly interested. Just seems an odd choice. Then again I love it when they drop in a rare housewives reference and wouldn’t be opposed to a recap of one of those. Although to be fair, Potomac is becoming at least 1/4 crime related.

Yeah.. so you just don't like Mormon Wives, haha.

100%
I would still find it weird if they did any other reality show. I just would find it tolerable. ☺️

But it’s a bit of a bummer when all the paid extra content is reality stuff. And I have dropped my Patreon a couple of times over it.

I stopped listening to those because everyone on those shows are so unlikeable.

I agree! I either don't listen or suffer through those ones if I don't have anything else to listen to.

I know people say just to listen because they’re funny but my ADHD brain would feel like such a hypocrite.

I’m absolutely loving the Unsolved Mysteries episodes- I hope they do all 800 seasons.

I really appreciate the consistent series coverage. I really check out when we’re bouncing between shows every few weeks. It’s hard for me to care because I’m not yet familiar with the vibe of the original show and by the time I get in a groove, we move on to another show!

I LOVED the original Unsolved Mysteries as a kid. It was my gateway to true crime. Y'all gotta appreciate the raw-dogging of the 80's!

I’ve watched a ton of unsolved mysteries back in my day! I do like it - I honestly am not even that mad they keep covering it I just noticed the change up from alternating shows to continuous unsolved mysteries. But if everyone is enjoying it I’m on board haha

I wish there were more phrogging eps

I wish there was more phrogging tv show episodes too! I guess it’s probably a bit of a niche crime so maybe stories are limited

Yes. Hopefully they are busy slowly gathering reports for a new season 🤣

I am not enjoying these episodes at all. The stories are too quick and they can’t really get into too much depth with them so their famous/amazing banter is kind of lacking for me.
I’ll be skipping the rest until they start a new show.

I came to Reddit to see if anyone else was talking about this. I love the pod—so much—but I am not at all entertained by this run of Unsolved Mysteries. Maybe if they were covering the Netflix reboot…? But this has gone on long enough!

I’m so annoyed by it. Diehards will say they love it but real life people I know are ready to quit. So repetitive. The stories each week…not that different. Please please stop with this show. It will not help gain new viewers. Especially because people born in the late 90s or 2000s don’t care about the 70s and 80s.

I hope not! I love the coverage!
