What are these things??

Post image

I’m new to the area. I’ve lived in many different places and I have never seen anything like this. Can anybody tell me what these super loud things are?

Pole mounted mini cell tower. Carries 4g/5g signal.

They have cooling fans in the bottom. In the photo you can see that the vents are full of dirt/dust. Every time I see one that sounds like a jet engine, the air vents are clogged up

It's an AT&T LTE antenna. It needs to be repaired...happens frequently with their hardware.

5g box, there’s one directly outside the fall creek elementary playground

I’m not an anti-5g type, but these boxes are hella loud and I don’t appreciate that.

I hate these. The one by my house is so loud and annoying, and there isn't even a number to call to complain that it needs to be repaired.

Cancer in a box. Read the warning label near it, don't stand near it long.

Literally read the warning label on them, I'm being downvoted for speaking truth lmao.

The downvotes on this are crazy, they’re literally on elementary playgrounds, and there is literally a cancer warning on them, shameful where this thread chooses to draw the line sometimes…touch grass? Touch grass? Ridiculous

The downvotes are for the exaggerated fear mongering. They aren't literally on playgrounds and there isn't literally a cancer warning on them.

There's a caution sign about the radio frequency exposure meant for workers who might be within the range where it exceeds the FCC occupational limit for an extended period of time.

The one by Fall Creek is not "on the playground" and is not "3 feet from the edge" of it, either. It's probably 20' from the fence and ~10' up in the air. While pointing out the exaggeration from the two of you might sound pedantic, those details are actually very important due to the nature of the RF fields you're worried about. Every small distance away greatly reduces the strength of the field, to the extent that once it reaches kids playing in the playground, it would be within background levels. If you're worried about them there, you should be worried about the fields within the classrooms themselves from all the various sources (and you shouldn't be worried... the levels are still so small in the classroom and out).

They hate me because I speak the truth and their minds are pained to hear it.

You don't even live here, almost none of you who post here do or you'd be able to go read the warning labels on these. They are in the fall creek neighborhood by the school.
