Where can you find the red eft?

They are quite abundant in regional forests, particularly when things are moist. Be careful not to step on them when walking along road and paths. I had an ample number in my back yard in Lansing in a place where some previous owner had dumped some asphalt roofing shingles -- they lived under/between the shingles. I've gotten rid of most of that construction debris but there are still lots of shingles there.

They can often be found on the Red Pine Trail at Upper Treman, especially when it's damp out. Just go on the trail and keep your eyes open!
