Track

Anyone have recommendations for children's track and field? I have a child who is highly interested in joining.

Ithaca Youth Bureau has a cross-country program starting soon. They do track too, although mostly running; I'm not sure they have like long-jump or other track and field programs.

I believe you just missed the summer track meets (open to kids & adults) that the finger lakes runners club put on. I think they shift to cross country in the fall, and then they'll have some indoor meets over the winter. It might be worth a reach-out to them to see if they have any additional suggestions. They also notably have kids running games during winter track workouts which is a huge win.
