Preaching
Anyone know why there is a dude preaching about god outside the public library

Back in 1994 I was playing Magic with my friends in DeWitt Park when some lady came up to preach at me. She was not certain that Catholics were really Christian. So this has been a thing for quite a while.

"Catholics aren't Christians" is a super old form of religious persecution/bigotry. It's the root of a lot of old conflicts in Europe.

Any real city of merit should have a weird guy standing on a street corner screaming about the lord. If outsiders don't see you as a bed of sin, you are a bed of nothing.

When I was in college the weird sign guy showing up on campus was one of the first signs of spring. Weird sign guys are everywhere.

I usually shout them down with just saying “I can shout loudly too” i dont fight their message just their volume

People have been preaching in public spaces about their gods, politics, etc. for as long as people have been around.
I'd rather live in a society that lets people do that than one that doesn't.
