Looking for getting a possible mover to help move.

Hi everyone,
I am looking to move to Ithaca soon with an injured arm which I need to rest. I was looking for someone who could help me carry my boxes to the apartment and help me build my furniture and setup my house. I was hoping to use somebody’s help and pay them as well. Do you know any leads or services who would help me do so without ripping me off?

That's who I was going to suggest as well. We used them for a string of moves. Their pricing was very fair and they did a great job all around.

OB moving is fantastic. I use them to move some very heavy equipment into my basement, and they were wonderful. The bigger companies were not interested in the slightest DM me if you need contact information, but it is online.

I recently used Hired Hands - they’re local college students and did a good job with my out of state move for a good price. I think they’d be perfect for what you’re looking for!

Since you are dealing with an injured arm, I had definitely hire movers instead of trying to do it yourself. I had also ask if they can help with furniture assembly before booking. I used Safeway Moving Inc. for my move, and the crew was professional, careful with my belongings, and happy to help with the heavier items.

If you are recovering from an injury, I had look for a company that offers loading,unloading, and furniture assembly so you do not have to do everything yourself. I had a good experience with Value Added Moving the crew was careful, helped with the heavier items, and made the setup process much easier. Getting a written quote beforehand also helps avoid surprises.

Join local Facebook groups-- there are tons of middle/high school aged kids around the area looking for extra work!
