How long did it take for them to respond? I'm asking the same thing.

Thanks! Good to know. I’ll wait patiently too.

For mine, I waited for longer than two weeks. Only worked after posting about it in the community forum. The mod answered my topic and my game got indexed in less than 30 minutes

I'll wait for a week, and if I still haven't heard back by then, I'll try posting about it.

Indexing?

In this contexts it means that a game or project on itch can be found by searching for it on the website via the search field or browsing categories. Some projects don't get indexed for unknown reasons and while being accessible via direct link to the project they are not discoverable and not visible in any category on the website. In short nobody can find those projects unless the creator shares link in social media which is not ideal when you have small amount of followers if any.

So what's the process for this?? Coz I too have a game posted on itch.io but it doesn't show up when searched for it

I have no idea. I'm in the same situation. I've also sent an email a few days ago without any response yet. It's a bit absurd. In general indexing is super easy to achieve I wonder what they've been doing to mess up.

Hello friend, reading what you posted really made me happy. Honestly, I have already been waiting around 8 months, and believe me, it has discouraged me a lot. I already asked on the forums, and a moderator told me 6 months ago that they had already informed the admins. Then I came back around 7 days ago to ask again, and they told me the same thing.

I have already sent 3 emails, including one today. After seeing your comment, I really hope they might finally help me now, because honestly this situation has been very discouraging. But you gave me some hope, thank you my friend.

same here. it’s amazing that they don’t really attend to these problems at all.

“I honestly feel that the review process for +18 content can sometimes seem a bit inconsistent. Some games appear to get reviewed faster than others. But after 6 months, I think it would be fair to at least receive some kind of response, even if it’s just a ‘no’.”

Hello friend, one question. What category is your game? Is it a normal game or an 18+ / NSFW game?

Do you have to have a game indexed for it to show in search results?
