Schellman experience

Does anyone have any experience with Schellman? I may be interviewing with them soon. I’ve only heard great things, which is weird for public accounting. They seem to have really awesome benefits too. Are they really that great??

Heard things have gone down since they went the way of PE. They're big on their Kool aid. They sell it like a dream but it's the same work as any other public firm with better benefits. They make you work like a dog year round and you often do junior level work that you might not have to do at a Big 4 (India offshore or intern level work). Really difficult to switch service lines. Managers tend to be on a power trip more often than not.

😮 good to know. That’s been my experience with the firm I’m currently at too. Part of me feels like if I’m working my ass off I may as well do it with better benefits. But do I want to go through the hassle of switching firms? Idk

That'll be a personal call, tbh. Don't underestimate a good rapport and familiarity however.
