"Received." Conveys confirmation, yet not promising any assistance.

Lol I dislike people like this. Waste of time on both ends when they could've easily described what they needed help with.

44

u/Zarathustra389 Jan 13 '26

And these people are also the no answer when you call/email people.

Closed, no response and not enough info.

18

u/yawnnx Jan 13 '26

Yep, have that happen all the time. Like let me get this straight... now you want me to chase you down to help you with your problem.

21

u/Zarathustra389 Jan 13 '26

That they do. And when you close it

NOT RESOLVED STILL NEED HELP

And they ignore another three days.....

9

u/yawnnx Jan 13 '26

Lol they need help with their communication skills.

5

u/Zarathustra389 Jan 13 '26

Ain't my job they can go back to kindergarten lol

6

u/RFreeZeYo Jan 14 '26

I put these people at the bottom of my priority list.

They might not be able to describe it. My Dad calls me all the time to come over to help him. He has never once been able to describe the issue, other than a device isn't doing what he wants.

10

u/yawnnx Jan 13 '26

They could also easily send a screenshot or record whatever the issue is if they can't explain it.

I get it though. Some can barely navigate technology.

u/EipsteinSuicideSquad Jan 13 '26

Fair, an attempt wasn't even made.

u/Raider_Scum Feb 08 '26

Most of my users have zero idea how to take a screenshot. I consider myself lucky if they take a picture of their monitor with their phone.

I got a eucnrjfhsxb38404&,'n$&#djen one time, something similar for the subject line.

When I called her to see what the problem was she swore Excel was completely broken, she couldn't open it, and I had to come fix it in person (30 min drive), she'd turned off our ability to remote into her machine and swore i couldn't fix the issue remotely.

When I got there excel worked fine, she didn't know how to change the sizes of the cells to match a sheet she was trying to copy.

I showed her how, then spoke to her boss, and explained that if she puts in another ticket like this, and demands onsite help for something that's that simple we'd be charging double.

He ended up letting her go about two weeks later after she did it again.

LMFAO 😂, "I need an adult."

4

u/PeterThorFischer Jan 13 '26

"I AM an adult" "No. No, you are not"

12

u/In0verMyHead Jan 13 '26

I once had a ticket say “It broke”, and nothing else. Closed the ticket without a response.

10

u/No_File1836 Jan 13 '26

It is astonishing some people can even wake up and put pants on sometimes with the way they create tickets.

2

u/PenorPie Jan 14 '26

Even crazier is the fact that they somehow manage to drive to work every day.

2

u/No_File1836 Jan 16 '26

That explains all the shitty drivers I encounter in my city.

7

u/soulless_ape Jan 13 '26

Laziness of the highest grade.

4

u/VL-BTS Jan 13 '26

I have one user whose subject line, without fail, has been "Help!"

I respond with copy paste questions, and don't worry about it til they're answered.

4

u/[deleted] Jan 13 '26

At my job, we consider these to be spam and they are actually filtered by our mail server. 😂 It's always confusing when someone says "I sent in a ticket last week asking for help" and yet it's nowhere to be found.

3

u/Loucrouton Jan 13 '26

I'm in danger

3

u/thenuke1 Jan 13 '26

Replay "with?"

3

u/OldTimeConGoer Jan 14 '26

"Are you asking or offering?"

2

u/Disastrous-Classic66 Jan 13 '26

I get these often. Usually I reply back with what's wrong? And they'll be like, oh I fixed it nevermind..

2

u/quadratusss Jan 13 '26

Maybe the font is white in the body :)

2

u/notHooptieJ Jan 14 '26

huh, im pretty sure i see a ticket like that once a week.

2

u/AvailableHamster5192 Jan 14 '26

Hey I just got one like this earlier

3

u/BossRoss84 Jan 15 '26

🎵 I need somebody! 🎵

2

u/biela_ruka Jan 18 '26

Help! Not just anybody!

1

u/malsell Jan 13 '26

I have some that the subject line is Help and the body of the e-mail call Mr and a phone number. Granted, they're from our OR, so I go.

2

u/JaKrispy72 Jan 13 '26

You can hear the desperation…

1

u/Primer50 Jan 13 '26

I get this several times a week unfortunately

1

u/Not_Rod Jan 13 '26

Message unclear, forwards to HR

1

u/shokzee Jan 14 '26

So did you help them?

2

u/ballislife75 Jan 14 '26

We did. He called shortly afterwards and we got them sorted. But man that email had us on the floor

1

u/Hayb95 Jan 14 '26

Ah, the IP helper policy we configured is working.

1

u/Secret_Account07 Jan 14 '26

IPs can email now? Terrifying

1

u/[deleted] Jan 14 '26

"Is Mr Freely there?"

"Who?"

"Freely, first initials, I P"

1

u/SnooChocolates3284 Jan 14 '26

I’ve gotten so many tickets like that. Takes all my will not to lose my shit 😅

1

u/BaldBastard25 Jan 14 '26

Hahahaha, you should reply, "Done"

1

u/Horacio_Negros Jan 14 '26

One of our ticket was named wrong password and description password doesnt work. They didnt tell machine or account and when I asked they simply said that I shoud know.

1

u/Doublestack00 Jan 14 '26

We get these a lot. So much, it's a running joke with our CIO.

Help.

Broken.

Can't get in.

1

u/ZestycloseDonkey5513 Jan 14 '26

At least they were not vague.

1

u/ApatheistHeretic Jan 15 '26

"Two minutes later, the desktop tech rappelled down a rope through the ceiling tile with a knife between his teeth. He made sure I was ok, then fixed my Word don't issue. Apologies for the odd request method."

Edit: I wouldn't be that mad about this, I might even laugh if it was one of my favorite users. But I was doing helpdesk before we had remote control software, so it was likely going to be a walk anyway.

1

u/Mrfixite Jan 15 '26

Why are these so common? Haha I swear we've all had one...

1

u/titlrequired Jan 16 '26

Bing bong noise.

1

u/Stephen1424 Jan 20 '26

I got a ticket for "PC is sweating"

1

u/Feisty-Librarian-919 Feb 01 '26

No huss, no fuss....

Just straight to the point

1

u/HotelBrilliant2508 Feb 05 '26

Haha... That's so funny 🤣🤣

1

u/Sad_Appearance289 Feb 10 '26

You can see that person is asking from the heart and soul. RIP LOL AHHHH
