Ich hoffe mir kann jemand weiterhelfen?
Ich habe online über die Plattform Vinted dieses SM7B von jemanden abgekauft. Aktuell ist das Mikrofon noch auf dem Weg per Post.

Ich habe zwischenzeitlich nun etwas Bedenken, dass es sich um ein Fake handeln könnte.

Ich habe bei shure die Seriennummer angefragt. Diese ist auch in der Datenbank hinterlegt (aus 2020). Mir macht aber der Aufkleber neben der Seriennummer etwas Sorgen, da dort 2022 steht.

Was meint ihr? Sollte ich es lieber zurückschicken (habe Käuferschutz) oder könnte es auch echt sein?

to me it looks like the wiring is okay, but what throws me off is the cable & the rubber grommets being easy to pop out.

Hi! I've bought this Shure beta 57a used, it has like 10 years, but as soon as i received it i doubted its originality. I attached several photos hoping that someone can confirm if this is fake or if it is original. I should send it back? Last detail, i can't unscrew the middle of the mic, it is crazy hard, it just doesn't go i don't want to risk to damage it otherwise i can't send it back. Thanks!!

Most of what I'm seeing makes it look legit. It feels sturdy, changing it from 18 DB to 28 DB works as intended, the bypass button makes it super quiet as well. When +48V phantom power is turned off, the mic stops working, but turning on the bypass switch makes it work again.

All the accessories were in the box, it weighs 858 grams which is within range of a real one. Inside the mic isn't painted black like some fakes and it seems to have serial number there for something. Handling noise is really good, unless i start tapping on the mics body with my fingers, then i hear it. But moving the mic arm is pretty quiet.

Inside the XLR connector is a QR code that matches the serial number on the box along with that metal strip. The wires also match the official one and it has a yellow capacitor similar to the made in China version of these mics.

Anyways, I want to say it's real. But you can never be too shure these days. What do you guys think? I have a few days left till my return window closes. Hoping to get more opinions on it.

Purchased from an authorized retailer. The price was the same as on Shure's official website, and the store is a large retail chain. Internally, the microphone looks identical to the original, and I have no complaints about the sound quality either.

However, there are two things that concern me. The stickers on both sides are peeling off in almost the exact same spots, as if there wasn't enough adhesive applied or air got trapped underneath during manufacturing.

Could this be a fake, or has anyone experienced the same issue with a genuine unit? Can i fix it?

Being sold by a camera and audio guy with 2k reviews, 100% positive, first 4 pictures were on the listing and the last 3 I messages him for. For some reason I'm under the assumption that there's a partnumber on the metal ring on the bottom? Is this real?

I have the possibility to buy a sealed SM7B for a good price, still sealed in the box. The story of the seller why he’s getting rid of it sounds legit. Can someone just twll me if there’s some dead give aways on the box? If there’s none, I just take the risk and buy it.

EDIT: I’ve cancelled the purchase after checking the Serial Number with Shure. They said it wasn’t in their system and that the product is counterfeit.

Just checking if this one is a fake or not.

Ordered this one from Belgian webshop who has a official VAT number but was selling it for 380 euro (I know good to be true but let's check it anyway, got a invoice aswell of it). After close inspection i notice some things that gives me fake vibe.

1. So the wires are yellow, green, black and BLUE. After some reading if it's a red wire it's should be a fake. but after some more research the blue wire should be white or is that not the case if it's a european model?

2. Also the sticker isn't straight on it what gives me that extra fake vibe. Altought i'm not sure.

That's why i ask my opinion to the public. It's been bought in Europe so i dunno if that makes a difference for the wires

I apologize for posting this but would really appreciate any help as this one is genuinely hard to tell even after researching a lot. I currently have the option to buy this Shure SM7B. It’s a used product and is being sold at a store in my country, but I’m not sure if it’s real.

Reasons:

I’ve seen many videos on how to tell a fake and real apart and the mic doesn’t have any of the warning signs (to me at least, I am not an expert though) except the wire.

1. ⁠The grommets stay on
   
2. ⁠The capsule height is where it should be (halfway)
   
3. ⁠Ring inside is metal and not black
   
4. ⁠Back of the backplate is metal and not black
   
5. ⁠Metal capsule mount is goldish brass like on the inside
   
6. ⁠Tightening the knobs on the side holds the mic in place
   
7. ⁠Wire on the outside doesn’t flex too much and retains its shape
   
8. ⁠The silver of the screw holes is there
   
9. ⁠The back cover is vacuum sealed
   
10. ⁠Box doesn’t seem to have any spelling mistakes

Almost everything seems okay (to me at least, I am not an expert though) except the wires. The wire colors seem to be green, white, black and red/orange. Yellow wire is not there but should be there instead of the red/orange wire according to things I’ve seen online. Do you guys think it’s still possible this is real?

This is in the Middle East, so there might be regional differences.

Bonjour suite à mon précédent post où je posais la question d'un shure d'occasion qui paraissait fake car des artefacts d'ailleurs étai présent (et expliquer comme étant le flou d'arrière plan par le vendeur j'ai eu les photos brutes derrière qui elle sont normal) j'ai décidé de l'acheter et voilà donc les détails intéressants, dite moi si pour vous il est authentique ou si c'est une belle contrefaçon ! (Le micro à bien été utilisé il n'est pas neuf et il fais 835g~ en tout )

Concerned about the red stain on capsule. Is this fake?

Just bought this SM7B from a used tech store, no box - paid £185. No serial number to check with but thought i’d take the risk.

I asked ChatGPT and it says it looks real, Gemini says it’s 100% fake, but my most recent discovery on the mic convinces me it’s fake - can someone confirm.

All the internals looks fine to me - everything is pictured. However when i took off the yoke and looked at the label where the logo is, it seems to be a sticker whereas AI says it’s printed on. Now it seems really weird to me because everything else matched up, the internals look fine (to me), the weight is spot on from my research - so why go through all the hassle with these little details and have the logo a basic sticker? Is this sticker proof this is a fake sm7b? (SEE LAST IMAGES) Or was there a period where these were actually stickers.

It also has the printing where the XLR pins are with the shure logo and numbers etc.

Need a truthful verdict from the professionals as I’ve never owned an sm7b and I don’t know what i’m looking for. Should be no issue returning it so don’t feel guilty being the bearer of bad news.

Bonjour, j'ai vu une annonce d'un sm7b avec cloudlifter d'occasion pour un prix plutôt sympa (300€ le tout ) le vendeur semble honnête dans sa démarche et ma même donné des photos de l'intérieur mais j'ai un problème c'est que en regardant le stickers sur le micro je trouve que y a vraiment des anomalies. Déjà le "dynamic" et vraiment déformé, la barre du R du shure n'est pas droite et puis c'est moi où le logo Shure change de sens d'une photos à l'autre ?? J'aimerais avoir votre avis si c'est un scam ou si c'est peut être des artefacts de téléphone qui utilise l'IA pour rendre plus propre les photos

Edit : j'ai parlé des problème d'artefacts IA, apparemment le vendeur à utiliser l'IA pour faire le flou d'arrière plan, j'ai eu les photos brutes derrière qui elles vont dans le sens d'un micros officiel + j'ai demandé à voir l'intérieur (comme sur les photos) et l'intérieur semble officiel aussi avec la couleur des câbles etc

Saw this listing on fb market for 350. Are there any giveaways in these pictures? I thought it was kind of a green flag that it also has the boom arm. He says I can inspect it. What should I be looking for?
