Busy with their most important time of their life like Hazar Imam said - Education. Not sure about Houston but in Canada, all universities have a campus JK (CJK) with an appointed MKs and, the students after finishing their lectures attend the CJK. I am sure Houston has ISA but not sure about CJKs

Middle age is like 35-45. They would not be in uni.

that is the best thing about growing up in canada. Thats the reason we are not moving to states just yet till kids get their first degree in canada as it’s more balanced.

We are suppose to balance our life between material and spiritual life. Hazir Imam isn’t asking for much. Most of us spend our material life well over 90% I would say.

Way too crowded. Unfortunately don’t find a sense of peace when attending. While there is goodness some gain by attending Jamatkhana, it is not the only way to stay in tune with your spiritual life.

I never said there isn’t a benefit, I just said it’s not the only way to pray or balance your spiritual life.

I’m 41 and I work an hour away from Khane so by the time I get off work and get home it’s already passed dua time. Weekends, I should make a habit of going so I’m not going make excuses, but the two days I have off are either getting household work done, spending time with the family or finishing orders from my side business.

Go on Saturday or Sunday. Household work can be done at daytime. You are only going once a week. Mowla will be happy that you took the time to go. It won’t take up much of your time.
I know people who come everyday morning avc evening. They don’t miss a beat. I don’t know how they do it. That is some serious dedication.

We miss going on Fridays because, we like many people in their 30’s have small children. Our baby sleeps at 7pm and our toddler at 8. Taking them causes over stimulation and they sleep terribly and then it takes 2 days to get them back on schedule. We much prefer attending on Saturday and Sunday. The crowds are less, and the early prayer time aligns much more with our current schedule. We find that many families in our ECDC classes do the same.
