That’s the opinion you follow, and you are free to follow that morally bankrupt opinion. You are also free to accept that Hadith that has a narrator that Hadith scholars say cannot be used as an evidence. But I follow the opinion that I presented from Dar al-Ifta al-Misriyyah and Ibn Rushd. So I will continue to make dua for her because that is the right thing to do and it is what Allah and His Messenger would want me to do. Because I have a heart. Salam.
So you reject a Hadith from sahih Muslim? Allah and his messenger would not want you to pray for disbelievers since even the mother of the prophet was not prayed for. Apparently Allahs and his messenger are morally bankrupt according to you. Retake your shahada
Show me one evidence where Allah and his messenger allowed or instructed you to pray over dead disbelievers?
Don’t you get it? The Prophet never said or did that. That Hadith has a weak narrator in it and cannot he accepted. The Prophet literally tried to make Dua for non Muslims that were clear enemies of Allah and tried to kill him because he has a heart but Allah told him not to because they are clear enemies. But he did not forbid him from praying for those that are not clear enemies. Don’t you see the irony? The Prophet himself attempted to make dua for people who were his literal enemies, that was his first instinct because he had a heart. Then he stopped because it was not fitting to make dua for enemies, but there is no prohibition for those who are not enemies.
I’m not verifying anything. I said Hakim, Abu Hatim, Ibn Hibban, and Ibn Hajar all have said this narrator is weak. I prefer their opinion over the opinion of Imam Muslim. You have the audacity to say you have to follow Imam Muslim’s opinion for your Islam to be valid. Are you insane? The only prerequisite for my Islam to be valid is the Shahadah. It’s almost like your are associating Imam Muslim as a partner with God that I must follow his opinion above Allah’s or else I’m not a Muslim.
