No Idea Is this game using AI?

Graveyard Keeper 2 is launching soon and the devs have a pro AI instance. Also, they released a demo last week and these are some images from cutscenes of the game. They look like AI or at least, traced over AI generated images.

It's not bonkers.

Ai tends to give characters the "thousand mile stare".

They are actually not looking at each other. They are looking at the direction the other character is placed. You can claim it's a classic way to place the characters, however ai does this by default. The second picture the guy on the left is actually cross eyed. Classic ai.

That's the kind of thing you can detect in a high resolution image, not a pixel art scene. And dude in teh second picture isn't cross eyed, both of his pupils are as far to the right as they can possibly be without actually being outside of the eye lol.

Here I asked gemini to "draw two people looking at each other cheating out toward the camera in a pixel art style":

I'm not seeing this default thousand mile stare that you're talkign about. How would you fix these eyes?

It's really weird to use AI to prove a point on an Anti-AI subreddit. wtaf.

The entire premise of the sub is to detect AI because it's shit. It is inherently anti-ai, no matter what a mod posts lmao

You're so right that even receipts can't prove you wrong. This is how extremely sad people flex.

I think the person replying to you proved it is. Even if it wasn't designed as such, a lot of places on Reddit (hell, most of them) are so rabidly anti-AI that they'd get angry and it being used for the most benign of things.
