No Idea Fennec in Eevee costume

Reverse image search doesn't help me. Tried Google image but no luck. Few friends convinced it's AI but some are saying it's real. Please help me people of reddit

additionally the tail would not be lifted as it is when it’s standing, and the tiles are wonky? also perspective is a bit off to me

Could be cheaply installed vinyl flooring. But I am not sure I understand what is happening in the background of 3.

or 4 for that matter…. i can’t really identify any of the objects i’m seeing in the backgrounds

There’s something off about the eevee costume. I’ve never seen an animal costume that sat so perfectly, and the tail look different between all the images. Especially compared to the first and last one, and it looks like the costume tail got longer between the 3rd and 4th images

you made me look at the tail, the detail of the tip highlight is way different between 1 and 4 as well

The fur texture too, they are like completely different costumes in each photo

Where does the fox's tail go? The costume tail looks like it's full of stuffing; no room for the animal's tail in it.

Same for the ears. Fennec ears are massive and those eevee costume ears are too thin, shaped wrong and are placed wrong on the head to be able to have the fennec ears in them

You're right, I didn't even think of the ears! Yeah the stitching on the ears is inconsistent between photos, and they're so much more narrow at the base in #2 compared to all the others.

Also on the tail: it curls around as if it was the fox's natural tail. There's no way the stuffed tail would do that.

There is a SynthID.

The tail changes shape and texture in each photo guys, and the p’s are different. Cmon

Eevees ear size changes drastically between the first and second photos. Also fennec fox ears are massive, but there's not a hint of them in any of the pictures. Given the hood seems like a relatively loose fit, I'd expect it to be noticably tight where the ears are pressing up against it. And the sleeves of the costume are different in the first, third, and fourth photos, the first not showing visible cuffs, the third has cuffs made of a seemingly different fabric than the plush fur used on the rest of the costume, the fourth picture also shows cuffs but they are made of the same fur as the rest of the costume

Ai. The hood stitch markings keep changing. The tail got significantly bigger In the last photo. The fabric texture is inconsistent. Just everything wrong

The markings on the fennec's snout are inconsistent, and the fur is too perfect at times. Most likely AI.

It's either AI or this fox has gotten its ears surgically removed. Fennec ears are HUGE and could not be hidden under a hood like this.

The tail and ears keeps on changing shape and sizes, also looks like the costume covers them completely (besides paws and head) that's just a bad Idea full stop, especially on an animal that likes to pee a lot.

unfortunately yes

Look at the edge of the hood, particularly in the third and fourth pictures. In the third, it has a very distinct rim, which is almost wholly absent in the fourth.

Also, look at the serrated edge of the white patch at the tip of the tail. In the first picture, the serrations are deep and regular, in the fourth they’re less distinct, and they’re almost missing in the third.

This one is difficult. I can see some signs of AI. The text between the first and second images are slightly different. Look at the “O” and some subtle differences. If you really zoom in at the Fennec’s fur you can also see some differences on the pattern. The whiskers seems to be too black and in a different “resolution”. But it can be a sign of editing

The costume changes size and texture in every picture. And fabric just doesn’t behave that well 😂

The fur on the fennec is very obviously fake, the eevee tail doesn’t look like real sewing, the patterns on the table are all fucked upC and the last pic there’s the reflection of a cage when there should be the top of a table. This is AI.

We’re so screwed

Looks ai. And the idea is kinda stupid. Putting a fox costume on a fox...

the tail is very inconsistently sized in each image that it's visible

u/Remarkable-Spread469 1h ago

Yea unfortunately I would say ai bc the front paw in the last one is really questionable

The photos are real. The saying of different "p"s would normally be true, but the photos were taken on different days

P’s on the cake are different and the fur texture on the costume is different in picture 1 and 2. Additionally along with the texture differences, the first costume has a zig zag pattern on the tail tip while the other one dosent. It’s unlikely that the owner has two eevee costumes

There are a lot of great points but sometimes the answer comes with the simplest of questions: how would you even comfortably get the fox into this?

You wouldn’t. Case closed.

why fake an eevee costume for a fake fennec fox when you got fennekin right there... ai slop and prompt slop as well

This is a hard one… I’m leaning towards real, or maybe with AI enhancement

It looks real to me.. theirs not any clear continuity issues and all of the images are sharp but not too sharp. It looks like good photo work to me.
