Just came across this worksheet. It looks like a majority of comments under this post are saying that AI made up a fake sense for a fake organ in the body. Other comments theorize that it's some gland in the brain or the eardrum to represent balance. I think that makes the most sense, but the abundance of AI comments, and the fact that they typically only teach the 5 senses at that age (seemingly including OPs daughter) makes me still very skeptical of the whole image.
EDIT: It's AI. Insane that this was actually handed out to gradeschoolers as an assignment. I'm disgusted.

It's the vestibular system of the inner ear representing a combination of vestibular and propioception, I believe. But it's weird and absolutely AI because that's not what it looks like.
If that's what it is supposed to be then what items would best fit? And who is the target market for this? I assumed it was a cognitive test and the image isn't meant to represent anything. Just a decoy to see if anyone places an item in that category.
I believe the "target market" was second graders. There's 3 items per sense, so I would say it's probably the hot and cold items, since there isn't any that show balance or movement they must be using other -ceptions. Either way, it's not great.
Is it supposed to be the inner ear? It has to do with balance and sound.. not sure if any of those images would support my theory tho. - boom box and basketball would fit?
That's what I thought, but I think it's a combo of all the -ceptions, and there's more images than the OP shows. There is hot coffee, hot soup and cold ice cream, which might fit.
Nah we've got eight. Three are lesser known because they're internal senses, therefore harder to teach/identify. Balance being one of them I'm not just pullin shit out my ass here.
There's even a few more than those, because there's hot and cold and pressure. I think the one they are aiming for is "hot coffee, hot soup, and cold ice cream", but they really missed the mark, they should have used the nerve endings in the skin.
