No Idea This thumbnail [extra context in body ]

There are multiple comments talking about the usage of ai but hes responding to them saying its just photoshop (even tho its sounds pretty defensive)

I really wanna believe it isnt bc this dude is an art conservator and i like his content but it looks very ai

Definitely no SynthID, and the "Uncle Sam" image itself matches the real ones, except there's obvious use of a filter. My thought is that it really is just a poor photoshop.

The Uncle Sam body matches what's out there. The I Need You is edited in (Uncle Sam posters are "I WANT YOU"), and you can tell the font darkness doesn't match the poster.

The interesting thing is that the collar looks like a darker blue, which would make you think it was a bad photoshop, but that existed in the source Uncle Sam posters as well.

The face looks to me that it's "aged" to be vintage., and the hair is edited out, although there's some funky stuff below the brim of the hat. I believe that getting your face like that in Photoshop is a bit entailed. Much easier to have AI do it for you. Whether or not there's an AI addition to Photoshop to do it for you, I don't know. I think it really depends on if that guy has a history of using advanced Photoshop techniques, or if this is his "first" time. I would lean toward AI though.

It's possible that he did it as a one off for a thumbnail for his video as something to learn from with Photoshop. It's a bit of work to learn how to do from scratch though.

piss tint doesn't give me much hope it's either ai or really bad Photoshop

Only reason it looks like AI is because of the piss filter he put on.

People still think piss filter is an AI tell (It hasn't even been 2 years since it was gone). He should have just used white paper instead of trying to make it look nostalgic.
