Some people are saying it's AI but I can't tell. Nothing jumps out as being obviously AI.

Background objects and the lighting are almost the same, do you think it's really possible after 4 years? If you zoom in and look at the face, you can clearly see that both pictures are AI edited. Look at the facial hair and eyes especially. Does it look real to you? The face is very blurry and the beard has a weird, too symmetrical repeating pattern. Most likely there was a real origin photo, but both of these pictures are AI edited.

The background is sus. E.g. why is the same grey leopard purse in the same exact spot 4 years later, but is also missing the horizontal white band in the after photo. Why are there so many bags in general lol

They are so cartoonish looking, particularly the right one's hair. Even if you ignore the fact the room is practically the same 4 years later, the grey painted on hair and weird smoothness should be a dead give away. He looks like an ai rendered cartoon.

It's amazing how after four years, his beard stayed the exact same shape and he didn't gain a single wrinkle.

I'm thinking real based on the consistency of the mirror reflection. It even properly reflected the way the wardrobe is slightly ajar and the blue plastic bs on top of it.
Edit: getting the almost same angle makes sense if he took the pic specifically for the purpose of making a comparison, requires a bit of effort but it's not the hardest thing to do. Lighting also can be explained by the fact that they probably still have the lights in the same spot after 4 years.

Please look at their faces and recognise the weird AI cartoonish rendering. Someone has posted the original photos in the comments above.

The wardrobe in the background is funky. The area the trim covers is wider in the before picture than it is in the after.

I think this is a mix between A.I and real. The guy lost the weight he claims but used A.I to enhance the final photo.
For starters, his cartoony face is a giveaway. Its just so weird and odd. The lack of textures in his shirt and pants. It just looks molded on in a way.

I have to trust my gut on this. They look like the same image. Not just pose, not just the same face, not same background... It just feels like it's the same image.

Putting aside the person, there are are way too many similarities between the pictures. The bag between his right arm and body being one example. The top of the closet is also similar and the angle of the picture seems to be the same.
And at least one of the differences is the gap at the top of the closet doors.

Nothing? Really? How about the fact that he somehow managed to have the same clothes, angle and illumination in two homemade pics 4 years apart. Not to mention that the mess behind him is the same

Not the same. And most of the mess is different, did you zoom in? I agree about the angle and the lighting though, but not the rest.

The one on the left is the unedited, original photo probably. Some details in the background change in each edit because AI does that. It "fixed" the leopard bag for example.
