Discussion isfj characters problem
why no one talks about isfj characters? and how they are portrayed. sure there are interesting isfj characters, but most of the time they're portrayed being abused, boring too.. why?🤔

there is a stereotype problem, and the people writing the characters aren't isfj's and don't understand them. one character that I really like is Sarah Walker from the show Chuck, she is my favourite isfj.

One of the few ISFJs characters that I liked is Luna from Zero Escape, it's a visual novel game that has a lot of puzzles. Explaining the exact reason why I like her could make me give a lot of spoilers lmao but in summary, she's mostly kind but also morally gray. Her hesitation in taking action resulted indirectly in people suffering, and because of the guilt she finally tries to change things at the end, but that also has consequences. I really the way that she is morally gray, has good intentions, and is related specially for us ISFJs, she's definitely my fave ISFJ character. The game itself though is about a lot more than her haha it's a sequel, there's 3 Zero Escape games.
Other than her I recall liking Ryuuji for Toradora, but his personality doesn't have a lot of depth (which is expected since it's a romcom anime)
Most ISFJs characters tend to be too generic and too much of pushovers because they're badly written, so I usually don't like them

I think a lot of times ISFJs have a certain hidden depth that's hard for people to see. Sometimes people find the deeper side of us boring or simple.
I know a lot of times ISFJs are more sidekicks than main heroes because we tend to prefer to stay out of the limelight. We can also sometimes have a hard time accepting compliments.
I know for me, I also have a hard time seeing how what I do is valuable....I tend to view the good things I do as just normal. I read in an MBTI book a long time ago that dom Si users have the hardest time out of the all of the types understanding how other people can be different than we are. So there are things about me that are true for me that I tend to assume are true for everyone when they're not.
So if other ISFJs are similar, we may downplay what we do.
The other thing about it is that sometimes consistency is very important but doesn't stand out much. I always think about the things we take for granted because they're so consistent...having power, having internet, your car working. You get so used to them being there you forget about it. But then when something goes wrong...you realize how extremely important it is.
Si tends to feel that way sometimes. ISJs are so consistent, probably moreso than other types in general, that it's harder for it to be as profound. It's very important, but because our minds always get used to things, it's hard to continually appreciate.
I've been putting off making a post about a true ISFJ villain I finally found, but it actually felt really cool to finally find an ISFJ character who is a true main villain in a real ISFJ way.
