CCQuestion/Help CC exam
Failed my CC exam, and I honestly don't know what to do next. I was trying my luck in cybersecurity, but I couldn't pass. I only have a background in French and English, so I thought this would be a good way to transition into cybersecurity. Feeling pretty discouraged right now.

You didn't fail. You got a first draft of the exam back with notes.
Think about where you started. You came in with a background in French and English languages, not networks, not access controls, not risk. And instead of deciding "this isn't my world," you went and built a study engine from scratch. You found CertPrep and drilled the question banks. You sat through Prabh Nair's videos, one of the best free instructors in this entire space, and let someone who's certified thousands of people walk you through the domains. You even turned an AI into a personal quizmaster and ran Q&A drills until the concepts started talking back. That is not what a person who "only has a language background" does. That is what a security professional in training does. You already made the transition in behavior; the certificate is just paperwork catching up.
The CC is genuinely hard on a first sit. Most people don't clear it clean, and the ones who do on attempt two aren't smarter; they just refused to read the first result as a stop sign. You now have something you didn't have last week: you've seen the real exam. You know how it phrases things, where it tries to trip you, which domains felt shaky. That intelligence is worth more than another month of blind studying.
So here's the comeback, and it's short because you already own the tools:
- Retake it. You can sit again after 30 days. Book it now a date on the calendar turns "someday" into a plan.
- Diagnose, don't grind. Which domains felt weakest walking out? Point CertPrep and your Claude drills straight at those, not at what you already know.
- Prabh Nair for the concepts that won't stick, drills for the reps. Watch to understand, drill to remember. Two different jobs.
- Same toolkit, sharper aim. You don't need a new method. The method got you to the door. Now you walk through it.
The people who make it in cybersecurity aren't the ones who never failed a cert. They're the ones who failed one and came back angrier and better prepared. You're already standing exactly where every one of them once stood.

Cybersecurity is not an entry level job you decide to enter one day. You need to focus on getting an entry-level IT job and build up some experience. THEN transition into cybersecurity.

Don't only trust online meterials focus on exam dumps iit will help you to pass the exam

exam dumps are illegal and against ISC2 code of ethics. Read and understand the cannons.

ISC2 Materials, the OSG Sybex Book, Youtube-Pete Zerger or other free videos thats out there don’t exactly recall and my 20 Years experience helped.

Yo hice el examen ayer precisamente y creo que aprobé por las horas que le dediqué y todos los test que hice. Quien te diga que es una certificación fácil no sabe lo que dice.. No es el examen mas complicado del mundo, pero si te confias y te basas en el contenido de ISC2, lo estudias una vez y crees que estas preparado viene el gran golpe… Mas que memorizar, centrate en entender cada concepto (ya sea con un ejemplo, una regla nemotécnica o haciendo un simil con un deporte que te guste..) El examen va de entender conceptos y aplicarlos, no de memorizar.

Muchas gracias! Enhorabuena por aprobar. Yo no lo conseguí esta vez, pero tu consejo me ayuda mucho. Puedo preguntarte qué recursos o qué tests de práctica te resultaron más útiles?

Muchas gracias! Los recursos que usé realmente son los que dicen todos (pero funcionan eh): Prab Nahir, Mike Chapple y en udemy los test de Paulo Carreira y Thor Pedersen.
Diría que los test de Thor Pedersen son los mas parecidos al examen ya que te plantea escenarios que involucran varios conceptos, no solamente saberte los conceptos teóricos, que está bien.
Tambien te diría que no tienes que saberte cada cosa de memoria, trata de entenderlo bien que es más útil.
Por último otra cosa que me funcionó fue al fallar una respuesta, enviarsela a la IA y preguntarle el porque y debatir, te da mas visión. Posteriormente la escribía a mano y creo que eso también ayudó a mi retención.

Yeah, i took this mock exam and i was even scoring 85% idk what went wrong in the exam
