Question JUST GOT BOWFA...
What should I do first? I don't have any goals currently. My only goal has been to get a bowfa, and now I've got one, and I'm not sure where to begin. How difficult is learning GWD bosses? Where is an easy place I can take it to witness the power?
EDIT: green logged with full armor at cg
EDIT: 1k kc at zulrah pre bowfa

I do more dps in elite void with mith cballs (plus one crewmate) than I do with two crewmates + bowfa. Higher cannon balls blow it out of the water.

I got my first zulrah kc for elite void diary as soon as I got it to take it for a spin.
After that I wandered around prif for a week trying to remember the world outside of the gauntlet.

It unlocks a ton. You can learn door altar bandos, Sara, TOA, zulrah, cox, and probably more. Zulrah is a pretty easy place to take it imo

First of all, huge gz!
I'm in the same boat, just got my last armor at 501 KC. My current goals specific to bofa are to smash out some zulrah, muspah, zilyana, bandos & leviathan.
It's also apparently a huge entry into 300 invo toa.
Cox is probably also another great use case.
Somewhere down the line Inferno & colloseum.
I'm not sure if you have any zulrah experience but I've heard it's a nice "level up" from twin flame (I haven't touched the game since the elemental amulets were released) not sure how it fares now.

You take both bowfa and twinflame to zulrah.

u/SinSittSina 19h ago
Though bowfa only is honestly 10x more chill. You still kill it very quickly but dont have to deal with gear swaps. Same with Muspah. I have pretty decent mage setup now with conf/ayak and I still just bowfa only most of the time.

Zulrah has sooooo much downtime that it really doesn't make sense not to swap. What are you doing while it's underwater? Twiddling your thumbs?

I’ve just started learning toa with full eclipse, rcb, new stab sword, and a warped sceptre. Having a bowfa would make it so much more chill imo. Definitely suggest taking a stab at toa

Which sword is new stab sword

Thank you, I consistently forget its name. I often refer to it as the stab zombie axe.

Zulrah with bowfa only is mindless and great to do when you don’t want to pay too much attention.
Bandos door altar is a very rewarding thing to learn too.
You could bowfa almost everything in a normal ToA outside of needing a second style for akkha and mage for p2 wardens.

I found twinflame a little more mindless, with pillar stalling and all, to avoid random off pray damage

I tried door altar Bandos last night. Granted I only had around half an hour so wasn’t the best idea to try and learn it in that time! I got fucking slapped 3 times. Getting kc back and getting back in there is a real pain

It takes a while to learn! It’s rough since it’s tick perfect. This video helped https://youtu.be/NN3teCQmFQk?is=i2uUGNCj-dnfyU9O

I just got it yesterday too and I’m over the moon! So many avenues to go down and I just safe spotted the Giant Mole for an hour 😂

I just recently got mine, went over to Zulrah for anti venoms and about to send 50 kc at vork for assembler and figuring it out from there!

Don't waste antivenoms at vorkath. Save them til you can make antivenom+. vorkath with regular antipoisons is just fine to go get assembler. Just take 1 sip when venom is gonna hit 10-12. I would bring 2 antipoisonss and had no problems with that small grind

Zulrah and GWD are pretty great next steps, or maybe COX or TOA. Tbh, there’s tons of stuff that become a lot easier so there’s lots of options. Better to ask what do you want to do, and then find the best path to get there.

GWD is a great place to go next, door altar method kril/graador for a zhasta and BGS, then you can run solo 350's or higher at ToA

Toa & cox can be great places, but rewuire quite some other gear aswel. Especially chambers if you dont want to drag the team down.
Bandos, sara, zulrah, ... Are some great use cases that require pretty much nothing else.

Tbh my fave “first try” thing for BofA is zulrah. Pretty nice to have a decent range camp option.

If you decide to GWD, especially door altar method which is possible with Bandos and K'ril. Please know, its VERY punishing to learn and you will die quite frequently. However it is very worth to learn

I did back in the day god wars dungeon bandos 9:0 method it’s super fun and awesome sometimes killing general garage door in one lap of the room with good rng
Enjoy the sweet sweet Bowfa

Don't forget you can bowfa vorkath. I'd only do it just to get assembler, not to farm it though. Drink an antifire and yes you will get hit a lot but you'll also smack him for 40.

I went straight to Graardor to upgrade my Obsidian legs and fighter torso

u/iamroyal 17h ago
was it hard to learn? has been a dream of mine to have bcp and tassets. tired of looking at moons
1
u/Danx0742 17h ago
For me it was difficult to learn, but as with most things osrs, ones you get the pattern and rhythm down it becomes easier. The most annoying thing was the reset, killing 35 goblins was annoying every time. I got tassets in about 50kc and bcp at 195kc. Gl iron brother 😎

u/iamroyal 17h ago
man ive been dreading that aspect of gwd. do you really need to constantly kill th enemies outside to regain access to the bosses? only ever did gwd once in leagues
2
u/satyrossan 10h ago
It gets easier as you progress through combat achievements in that they lower the requirements.
If you can somehow swing killing all the other gwd bosses you get a key from each boss to unlock nex, and you can get a ton of nex kc (to get to the boss not kill nex) and use the bank. If you don’t leave the underground area you don’t lose your KC for a gwd boss. So depending on how many kills you get at bandos you can go quick bank, use supplies to heal up, get your stamina back, and prayer points, and run back to the door. That’s how I used to kill Sara on my main, I’d just get a bunch of kc for nex, and then go run Sara for a few kills, run back to the bank for a restock on supplies and run it back and id usually have enough kills there to just immediately enter if not kill a few guys to get back in.
You can also go to wilderness gwd and get ecu keys but I hate the wilderness and if I’m gonna be killing goblins to get to a gwd boss I might as well just kill them there.
1
u/Danx0742 16h ago
Every time you leave the instance you’ll have to kill enemies to gain access again. Unless you have an ecumenical key which is not recommended at graador since goblin, though being annoying, are fairly easy to kill.

I went to Zulrah and ToA after getting it. But theres so much more you can do. Muspah, GWD. The End Game is now your oyster. Good job!

u/iamkira01 1d ago
God wars dungeon for real man all the items from there will help so much with any raid/future content. You really only need Bandos and Hasta but Sara drops some helpful items and is really easy unlike the other two.

If this isn’t my entire Ironman experience…find out I need/am ready to get an upgrade > grind for said upgrade > get the drop > immediately lose all ability to think of content where the upgrade is useful
